The present invention relates to a power takeoff (PTO) device. More specifically, the present invention relates to a PTO with a novel bolted joint assembly securing the housing of the PTO to a transmission housing, whereby the bolted joint assembly is easier to assemble correctly and more robust than conventional bolted joint assemblies used with conventional PTO housings. The preferred embodiment of the invention comprises elongated fasteners affixing or securing the PTO housing to the transmission housing. Such elongated fasteners provide easier access to the fastener head with standard tools, while providing significantly greater fastener stretch that reduces or prevents vibration loosening of the PTO housing.

A directional control valve group (3), fixable to a wall of an oil tank (13) at an oil inlet through-hole (22) made in the wall (12) of the oil tank (13), comprising: a directional control valve (4) provided with a first hollow body (21); a housing (5) of the oil filter element (9); a second hollow body (15). The first hollow body (21) has a first planar surface (51), the second hollow body (15) has a second planar surface (52); the first hollow body (21) and the second hollow body (15) are mutually conformed so as to enable fixing the first hollow body (21) to the second hollow body (15) in such a way that the first planar surface (51) contacts the second planar surface (52) and the first hollow body (21) projects with respect to the second hollow body (15). Additionally, the group (3) comprises a housing of an air filter element (29) inserted in the second chamber (17) of the second hollow body (15) and connectable to the oil tank (13).

A nozzle for use in a high pressure water jetting system is provided including a stationary housing, a rotating shaft, and a central passage within the shaft for communicating high pressure fluid to the nozzle. The shaft may include communication passages to provide fluid from the central passage to a forward fluid pressure chamber defined between an outer peripheral surface of the shaft and the housing. A rear fluid pressure chamber may be defined between the shaft and the housing and a restriction may be defined between the housing and the inlet end of the shaft, the restriction configured to receive fluid from the rear fluid pressure chamber and transport it to a chamber communicating with the atmosphere. The restriction may be formed as an annular gap between the housing and the inlet end of the shaft and configured to decrease in volume when the shaft moves axially forward.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an improved clutch-brake for a PTO unit. In accordance with a first embodiment of the present disclosure, a dual direction clutch-brake with a clutch cup is disclosed. When moved in one direction, the clutch cup engages a clutch pack resulting in the input shaft being engaged with the output shaft. When the clutch cap is moved in the opposite direction, the clutch cup engages a breaking member, for example a cover or casing of the PTO unit, which applies a force to the output shaft opposite to the direction of rotation and thereby stops the output shaft from rotating.

Devices and methods to facilitate proper installation of a power takeoff on a transmission are disclosed. Embodiments include gauges and methods that enable users to properly select the thickness of the gasket between the power takeoff and the transmission housing to minimize gear backlash and gear interference while installing a power takeoff on a transmission. In one embodiment, the gauge is of unitary construction with at least one surface adapted to contact the transmission housing and another surface adapted to avoid contact with the transmission gear by at least 2/1000 inches and at most 3/100 inches when the gasket thickness is proper for minimizing gear backlash and interference. Alternate embodiments include cutouts that aid in aligning the gauge within the transmission housing and can assist in determining the appropriate gasket thickness.
