A solution is disclosed for designing a transportation network (101) comprising hyperloop. A user may interact with a hyperloop route via a user interface. The system is further configured to perform optimizations on a candidate hyperloop route while conforming to constraints and limits. The system may utilize a genetic algorithm in order to optimize more than one parameter as part of optimizing the candidate hyperloop route. A single parameter optimizer is also provided that requires fewer computational resources. The solution provides for simulation of the candidate hyperloop route in order to further evaluate the desirability of the candidate hyperloop route. A plurality of metrics based on the simulation may be presented to the user via the user interface.
The disclosed solution generally relates to a hyperloop vehicle detecting objects in a hyperloop system. Hyperloop vehicles operate at incredible velocities and require robust systems to detect objects that increase the risk to a hyperloop vehicle. Transponders typically provide long-range data about the activity of downstream hyperloop vehicles. However, nearby objects require detection at line-of-sight distances in order to ensure that objects and vehicles within a given transponder interval distance are detected. The disclosed system provides an elegant solution that combines the advantages of both transponder-based object detection and sensor-based object detection.

The disclosed solution provides for an inland port that is configured to load and unload cargo using autonomous systems (including autonomous tractors). The inland port may be serviced by a hyperloop network (of hyperloop routes) between the seaport and the inland port. The disclosed solution may rely on autonomous hyperloop vehicles in the hyperloop network to transport the cargo containers between the seaport and the inland port. At both the seaport and the inland port, autonomous tractors may, in some implementations, be utilized to load and unload the cargo that will be carried by the hyperloop vehicle and/or the truck.
