Disclosed is a fish-hook that prevents a fish from being released from a hook once the fish has been caught on the hook, while facilitating the removal of the caught fish. Also disclosed is a fishing apparatus that uses the fish-hook and is capable of automatically catching fish and automatically releasing fish from the hook. The fish-hook (1) is equipped with a main hook body (10), a release-preventing crossbar (20) that is capable of displacement between a proximate position and distant position, wherein the end of the crossbar respectively approaches and moves away from the hook end of the main hook body (10), an impelling member (30) that impels the release-preventing crossbar (20) into the separated position, a main line (3), and an auxiliary line (4). The main line (3) is engaged with the main hook body (10) while being connected to the release-preventing crossbar (20), and when the force of a fish caught on the main hook body (10) is received and tension is applied, the release-preventing crossbar (20) gives way to the impelling force of the impelling member (30) and is displaced to the proximate position as the fish is pulled in. The auxiliary line (4) is connected the section linking the curved section and the base section of the main hook body (10), and when tension is applied by a separate means, the hook end is aimed downward and releases the fish.
