A process for producing a thermoformed metallic object containing a metal which oxidizes upon heating in the air is provided. The process is characterized by comprising: a step in which a silver-particle-containing composition comprising silver particles and an organic binder is applied to an exposed surface of a work to be heat-treated; a step in which the coated work is heated in the air to thereby thermoform the work while inhibiting air from flowing by the action of the silver-particle-containing composition; and a step in which the sintered coating formed from the silver-particle-containing composition by the heating is at least partly removed from the thermoformed metallic object obtained after the atmospheric heating.
