An arm extends from the first end portion along a longitudinal axis. The arm has a distal end portion. The arm is resiliently flexible to permit displacement of the distal end portion along a second axis that is transverse to the longitudinal axis. The distal end portion has a hammer engagement surface. The hammer engagement surface is configured to contact a hammer to effect displacement of the distal end portion. The firing pin block has a protrusion extending downwardly from the arm along the second axis. The protrusion is positioned between the first end portion and the hammer engagement surface along the longitudinal axis.
A handguard attachment assembly for securing a handguard to a barrel assembly of a firearm. The assembly has a first body and a second body. Each of the first and second bodies includes a first side and a second side oppositely disposed. A first projection extends from the first side. A second projection extends from the second side. A first adjustable fastener is configured to couple the first projection of the first body and the second projection of the second body. The second body is pivotable between a first position, wherein the protrusion is spaced from the latch and the catch surface can engage the lock body, and a second position, wherein the protrusion engages the latch to cause the lock body to disengage the catch surface of the first body to unlock the charging handle assembly from the latch.

A latch for securing a buttstock to a receiver of a firearm. The buttstock has at least one compartment configured to receive a spare magazine. The latch comprises a shaft, a lever, a first spring, and a second spring. The shaft moves along a first axis within the buttstock and is biased by the first spring to engage with a recess in a receiver of the firearm. The lever extends along a second axis transverse to the first axis and is positioned between the buttstock and an end of the shaft. The second spring biases the lever toward the buttstock. The lever includes a projection configured to extend through an opening in the buttstock and engage with the spare magazine. The lever is pivotable and is configured to release the magazine when the lever is pivoted in a first direction.
A mount assembly for attaching a firearm accessory to a muzzle of a firearm that promotes a more secure connection. The mounting assembly includes a front collar and a rear collar that are operable to clamp the mount assembly onto the muzzle. A detent ring mounted on the front collar yieldably biased by a spring against the rear collar to resist relative rotation of the front and rear collars. The mounting assembly is constructed so that the spring force applied by the spring does not continually increase as the front and rear collars move to clamp onto the muzzle. Detent springs used to yieldably hold the front and rear collars against relative rotation can be weaker than the main spring, which further reduces unwanted forces working against clamping of the mount assembly onto the muzzle. The mount assembly is also constructed to inhibit carbon lock.

The action surface is movable into and out of engagement with said catch surface upon rotation of said sear body about said sear pivot axis. A trigger return and safety mechanism are mountable on a frame of a firearm. The trigger is mountable on the frame and pivotable about a trigger pivot axis. A strut is pivotably attached to the trigger at a strut pivot axis oriented parallel to and offset from the trigger pivot axis. A spring acts between the spring bearing surface and the frame for biasing the trigger into a reset position after the trigger has been pulled. A gas port connects the gas space with the barrel's bore. A slide overlies the tube and defines longitudinally oriented grooves which receive the lugs when the barrel is rotated by interaction between the cam and the cam follower to align the lugs and the grooves. Motion of the barrel is arrested by interaction between the cam and cam follower, and motion of the slide relative to the barrel is permitted when the lugs align and engage the grooves.
