The invention relates to an air spring for commercial vehicles, comprising a roll bellows (2), a rolling piston (1) and a lid (3). According to the invention, the air spring, comprising components such as rolling piston (1) and/or lid (3) made from plastic shall be used as towing stop in particular for applications with commercial vehicle trailers. The roll bellows (2) is designed in a tubular shape, at least at the end thereof facing the lid (3), at least the lid (3) being made from a plastic, the lid (3) at least partly extends into the end of the roll bellows (2) facing the lid (3) and the roll bellows (2) can be clamped to the outer surface (8) of the lid (3) extending into the end of the roll bellows (2) by means of a clamping ring (10), such that an airtight, rigid connection is generated between the roll bellows (2) and lid (3) which transmits axial towing forces between the lid (3) and the roll bellows (2).
