The invention relates to a system for routing articles by individuals who are members of a community, comprising the following components:- packages (E) containing the articles and bearing at least one identification code (31); - a data processing platform (3) including at least one data processing application loaded into data processing units (1) belonging to the individuals who are members of the community, the system being characterised in that it comprises a data base (301) concerning the packages and comprising, for each package, a responsibility code (33) for identifying the individual temporarily entrusted with the package, and in that the data processing platform (3) is parameterised to receive a responsibility signal from the individual temporarily entrusted with the package, by means of the data processing application contained in the data processing unit belonging to the individual, and to modify accordingly the responsibility code (33) associated with the package identification code (31).
