Abrégé
Provided is a highly shape-stable wound retractor, which is for holding an opened part in a human body undergoing incision in an opened state, and which demonstrates shape stability during use. The highly shape-stable wound retractor is characterized: by containing, as a main resin component, a synthetic resin that has chemical resistance and is an elastic material; by being configured such that the wound retractor is curved elastically from a sheet-like state so that a first end and a second end overlap each other in the thickness direction to form a ring; and in that a through-hole through which the second end can pass is formed in the vicinity of the first end, and the diameter of the ring can be varied by changing the length over which the second end is passed through the through-hole.

Abrégé
A retractor holds a surgical incision in a body in an opened state to ensure a surgical field in small-incision endoscopic surgery, and includes a base body that is a thin plate made of tin having a purity of not less than 99.9% and has an elongated rectangular shape in an extended state of the base body. The retractor, in an extended form in a rectangular shape or in a rounded form in a small shape, can be inserted from a small incision wound into the body, and can easily be delivered to the surgical incision in the body by a surgical instrument. The base body is bent and deformed into a desired shape by the surgical instrument and is applied to the surgical incision in the body, so that the surgical incision can be held in an opened state so as to ensure the surgical field.

Abrégé
[Problem] To facilitate ease in maintaining a surgical field as a surgeon sees fit, to facilitate flexibly maintaining and changing the surgical field based on a surgical site or the situation of an operation, and to simplify moving to a required position of the surgical site and post-operative extraction. [Solution] Provided is a retractor 1 which, in small-incision endoscopic surgery, retains an incision site within a body in an open state and maintains an operating field. The retractor 1 comprises a rectangular substrate 2, which is a thin plate composed of tin having 99.9% or higher purity, and which is long and thin when in an extended state. It is possible to insert the retractor 1 within the body via a small incision, and to easily deliver the retractor 1 with a surgical instrument to an incision site within the body, in the rectangular extended form or a tightly rolled-up form. By fitting the retractor 1 into the incision site within the body in a form in which said retractor 1 has been bent and deformed into a required shape with the surgical instrument, it is possible to retain the incision site in the open state so as to maintain the operating field. Given that the substrate 2 is composed of tin having 99.9% or higher purity, the retractor 1 is particularly flexible, and it is possible to easily bend and deform the substrate 2 into a required form using the surgical instrument.

Abrégé
Provided is a retractor that makes it possible to reduce operation costs, is less likely to cause damage to surgical incision sites, do not reduce workability, and also makes it possible to easily maintain the desired surgical field and to change the surgical field or widen or narrow the area of the surgical field, depending on the surgical situation. The retractor 1 for holding a surgical incision open and maintaining a surgical field during an operation includes a belt-shaped body A made of a wire; and a connecting part B that is provided at one end portion of the belt-shaped body A and capable of being connected to another end portion or an intermediate portion of the belt-shaped body A so that the belt-shaped body A can be formed into a loop of a desired size. The retractor 1 is so configured that when the belt-shaped body A is formed into a loop, the outer surface of the belt-shaped body A resists the force generated at the surgical incision and acting in such a direction as to close the surgical incision.

Abrégé
Provided is a retractor whereby it becomes possible to reduce operation cost, to make it less prone to injure an incised part, to prevent the deterioration of workability, to preserve an operative field of interest easily, and to change an operative field or expand or reduce the area of an operative field according to the situations of an operation. A retractor 1 for preserving an operative field while maintaining the patency of an incised part that is incised during an operation. The retractor 1 is provided with: a strip-shaped body A which is formed from a wire material; and a connecting tool B which is provided at one end part of the strip-shaped body A and is connected to the other end part or a middle part of the strip-shaped body A so as to shape the strip-shaped body A into a loop-like shape having a specific size. The retractor 1 is so configured that a force in the incised part-closing direction which is generated in the incised part is received by the outer surface D of the loop-like strip-shaped body A.
