The disclosure is directed to kits, compositions, tools and methods comprising a cyclic industrial process to form biocement. In particular, the disclosure is directed to materials and methods for decomposing calcium carbonate into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide at an elevated temperature, reacting calcium oxide with ammonium chloride to form calcium chloride, water, and ammonia gas; and reacting ammonia gas and carbon dioxide at high pressure to form urea and water, which are then utilized to form biocement. This cyclic process can be achieved by combining industrial processes with the resulting product as biocement. The process may involve retention of calcium carbonate currently utilized in the manufacture of Portland Cement.
Compositions, tools and methods for the manufacture of construction materials, masonry, solid structures and compositions to facilitate dust control are described. Compositions and methods for the manufacture of pigmented solids structures for which can be used for construction and/or decoration are also described. Manufacturing comprises fixing one or more pigments to an aggregate material such as crushed rock, stone or sand. The pigmented aggregate is incubated with urease or urease producing microorganisms, an amount of a nitrogen source such as urea, and an amount of calcium source such as calcium chloride forming calcite bridges between particles of aggregate. Using selected aggregate and pigment, the process also provides for the manufacture of simulated-stone materials such as clay or granite bricks or blocks, marble counter-tops, and more. Compositions containing microorganisms and pigment as kits that can be added to most any aggregate materials are also described.
Compositions and methods for producing materials for construction and for dust control utilizing enzyme producing cells, an amount of a nitrogen source such as urea, and an amount of calcium such as calcium chloride. Calcium contributes to the formation of calcium carbonate which creates a solid structure, layer or shield. One or more compositions containing components of the invention can be sprayed or otherwise applied to surfaces for erosion control, foundation support, prevention of sink hole formation, prevention of dust formation, or other applications. Ammonia, water and other by-products of the process can be recycled and reutilized for the same or other purposes including, for example, as fertilizers and energy sources, or independently fermented from selectively cultivated microorganisms.
There is provided a method for producing construction material utilizing loose pieces of aggregate, enzyme producing bacteria, an amount of urea and an amount of calcium ions. A first solution is prepared which includes urease which is formed by enzyme producing bacteria. A second solution is prepared which includes urea and calcium ions. The first and second solutions are added to the loose aggregate. The calcium ions contribute to the formation of calcium carbonate wherein the calcium carbonate fills and bonds between at least some of the gaps between the loose pieces of aggregate forming a solid construction material.
The invention is directed to compositions, tools and methods for the manufacture of construction materials, masonry, solid structures and compositions to facilitate dust control. More particularly, the invention is directed to the manufacture of bricks, masonry and other solid structures using small amount of aggregate material that is pre-loaded with spores and/or vegetative bacterial cells.

Described herein are novel construction material compositions, systems, and methods for manufacturing the same. Biocement technologies that monitor and adjust environmental and process controls during the manufacturing of biocement products are described. Construction materials with advantageous properties, such as increased compressive strength, may be manufactured using the biocement technologies. In some cases, the application and adjustment of temperature, pH, and humidity are used to selectively control the rate of biocement formation within different planar sections of a construction material. For example, a planar section of the construction material that includes a non-preferred surface (or a surface to which a cementation solution is applied) may form biocement at a slower rate than other planar sections of the construction material that are at least a threshold distance away from the non-preferred surface.

Compositions and methods of biologically cemented structures for marine applications
The invention is directed to kits, compositions, tools and methods for biologically cemented structures. More particularly, the invention is directed to materials and methods for the farming of bivalves, such as oysters and clams, and also other marine and fresh water invertebrates such as sponges, and other commercially worthwhile sessile organisms. The kits, compositions, tools and methods of the invention are also applied to erosion control of beaches and underwater surfaces, for the formation of foundations such as footings for pier supports, marine walls and other desirable structures.

The invention is directed to compositions and methods for the manufacture of pigmented solids structures for which can be used for construction and/or decoration. The resulting solid has a hardes and colorfastness for most any construction material. Using selected aggregate and pigment, the process also provides for the manufacture of simulated- stone materials such as clay or granite bricks or blocks, marble counter-tops, and more. The invention is also directed to composition containing microorganisms and pigment as kits that can be added to most any aggregate materials.

Methods for producing construction material utilizing loose pieces of aggregate (30), enzyme producing bacteria, an amount of urea and an amount of calcium ions. A first solution is prepared which includes urease which is formed by enzyme producing bacteria. A second solution is prepared which includes urea and calcium ions. The first and second solutions are added to the loose aggregate (30). The calcium ions contribute to the formation of calcium carbonate wherein the calcium carbonate fills and bonds between at least some of the gaps between the loose pieces of aggregate forming a solid construction material (92).

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DUST CONTROL AND THE MANUFACTURE OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
Compositions of the invention can be sprayed or otherwise applied to surfaces for erosion control, foundation support, prevention of sink hole formation or other applications. Ammonia, water and other by-products of the process can be recycled and re-utilized for the same or other purposes including, for example, as fertilizers and energy sources, or independently fermented from selectively cultivated microorganisms.
