In the solution of the present disclosure, HTL is mixed with gas, both reaching about the same 5 temperature following their mixture. The HTL and the gas are mixed at about the same pressure and undergo together as a mixture an expansion in a nozzle from a first pressure to a second pressure, lower than the first pressure. When realizing the present invention in a reaction turbine, the non-zero velocity of the HTL/gas mixture at the outlet of the nozzle is used 15 to separate the mixture by forming a film flow on a circular frame and the film flow experience centrifugal force by the frame. The ejected gas is cooled in a heat exchanger, such as a recuperator, and compressed again while it is cold in a compressor. The compressed gas is then heated in the heat exchanger (recuperator) before returning to the turbine. The ejected HTL is collected to undergo another cycle in the turbine. A portion 20 of the HTL is reheated by passing through an additional heat exchanger with the heat source.

The turbine is a two-phase reaction turbine that employs an isothermal expansion process within its nozzle section. Heat transfer liquid (HTL) and working fluid (WF) are mixed prior to entering the nozzle. Since all the process is carried out on a rotating turbine, the mixture may tend to be pushed to the walls of the nozzle by the rotational forces as a result of non-symmetrical forces applied on the mixture, which can affect the efficiency of the energy production by the turbine. In order to eliminate such non-symmetrical forces, the nozzle is designed with a curved shape such that the center of mass of the mixture that flows in the nozzle flows at a straight line from a frame the perspective of the inertial system. Namely, the curvature profile of the nozzle is determined according to the intended RPM operation of the turbine. In other words, the nozzle is designed such that the forces acting on the mixture flow in the nozzle causing its center of mass to flow along a flow path that is in the center of the nozzle, at a given operational rotational velocity.
