A casket comprises a shell, a cap closable on the shell, and a cap dish assembly mounted to an underside of the cap. The dish assembly comprises a cap panel having opposite sides and opposite ends, a puffing member positioned at each of the opposite sides and each of the opposite ends of the cap panel, and an alcove structure formed in one of the puffing members positioned at one of the opposite ends of the cap panel, the alcove structure having a floor, a pair of side walls, and a back wall, and defining an area recessed away from an onlooker in which to display items to memorialize a deceased.
A casket comprises a casket shell, a casket lid closeable on the shell, an ornament, a magnet attached to one of the ornament and the shell, a magnetic object attached to the other of the ornament and shell, and a rotation obstruction on at least one of the ornament and the shell to obstruct rotation of the ornament relative to the shell.
A display for displaying casket portions comprises a back wall, at least one wing wall, a shelf, a casket corner section having two cut sides at substantially a right angle to one another and having a bottom, a side panel attached to one of the cut sides of the casket corner section, a bottom panel attached to the bottom of the casket corner section, and at least one dowel pin on the back wall. The casket corner section is supported on the shelf, the side panel is positioned between the wing wall and the dowel pin, and the other cut side faces the back wall. The dowel pin is spaced from the wing wall by an amount such that an outwardly facing surface of the side panel is snugged against an inwardly facing surface of the wing wall.
A casket comprises a shell having a pair of opposed side walls and a pair of opposed end walls, the walls defining an upwardly facing flange of the shell, a lid closeable upon the flange of the shell, and a cover removably positioned on the shell when the lid is open, the cover being constructed of a first section which overlies the flange and a second section which overlies a portion of the shell side and end walls extending downward from the flange, the first and second sections being joined along lengths thereof by a third malleable section which functions as a stave thereby permitting an angle formed between the first and second sections to be manually adjusted and set.
A display system for casket selection comprises a back wall, actual utilitarian and ornamental casket features mounted to the back wall, and a display adjacent the back wall. The display is operable to display facsimiles of the actual utilitarian and ornamental casket features.
A dish assembly for a casket cap comprises a cap panel having a pair of opposed sides, a puffing member attached to each side of the pair of sides of the cap panel along respective adjacent edges of the puffing member and cap panel side, a cap panel insert having a pair of opposed sides and being removably inserted between the puffing members and juxtaposed relative to the cap panel, a retention member fixedly secured to one of the sides of the cap panel insert and removably inserted between the respective adjacent edges of one of the puffing members and a respective one of the cap panel sides, and a pull member fixedly secured to the other of the sides of the cap panel insert and projecting away from the cap panel. The retention member and the puffing members retain the cap panel insert in juxtaposition relative to the cap panel, and the pull member enables the cap panel insert to be pulled out from between the puffing members, away from the cap panel, and out of the dish assembly.
A display for displaying the features of a casket which has a shell, a lid and an interior, comprises a wall, a cabinet mounted to the wall, an openable and closable door mounted to the cabinet, the door having the appearance of being at least a portion of the lid of the casket, and at least a portion of the shell of the casket positioned in the cabinet.
