A dual performance pillow performs similar to a pillow having a memory foam fill and also performs similar to a pillow having a non-memory foam fill, such as a fiber fill. The pillow includes top and bottoms panels each having a plurality of sides and at least one gusset panel extending between and connected to the top panel and the bottom panel at at least one top and bottom panel side. A closure is positioned on the at least one top and bottom panel side to close and open the pillow at the gusset. The others of the top and bottom panel sides are joined to one another. The pillow includes a fill. The gusset panel is formed from a material having less resistance to air flow than the top and bottom panel material. When the closure is closed and the gusset panel is concealed, air flow into and out of the pillow is restricted and when the closure is open and the gusset panel is exposed, air flow into and out of the pillow is unrestricted.
A mattress cover includes a bottom panel, a top panel, a fixed side panel joined to the bottom panel and an expansion side panel joined to the fixed side panel and to the top panel. A fully separable expansion closure has a first part at an expansion panel upper edge and a second part at an expansion panel lower edge. When the expansion panel closure parts are engaged, the expansion panel is in an unexpanded state to define a first interior volume of the cover and the cover accommodates mattresses of a height in a first range of heights. When the expansion panel closure parts are disengaged, the expansion panel is in an expanded state to define a second interior volume of the cover larger than the first interior volume, and the mattress cover accommodates mattresses of a height in a second range of heights larger than the first range of heights.
A reversible pillow includes first and second panels each having first and second surfaces. The panels each have a plurality of edges. The first and second are panels joined along an edge to define an axis of rotation of the panels relative to one another. A releasable fastener extends along the non-joined edges. The releasable fastener is for fastening the first and second panels to one another. The panels are rotatable about the axis in a first direction such that the first and second panel first surfaces are on an outside of the pillow, and are rotatable about the axis in a second opposite direction such that the first and second panel second surfaces are on the outside of the pillow. The first and second panel first and second surfaces can be fabricated from different materials.
A breathable cooling pillow includes a polymeric foam layer having a top surface, a bottom surface, and sides extending between the top surface and the bottom surface and a polymeric gel cooling layer disposed directly on the top or bottom surface. The gel cooling layer is molded, at least in part, into the foam layer. A method of making a breathable cooling pillow is disclosed.

The cover is adjustable between a first condition where one or both of the fasteners are fastened to contract its respective gusset panel and the interior space has a first volume, and a second condition where one or both of the fasteners are unfastened to expand its respective gusset panel and the interior space has a second volume greater than the first volume.
