In the present embodiments, the HVAC equipment is mounted operably on a roof of a building and the screening system is assembled operatively so as to surround the HVAC equipment. The screening system includes a screen panel that is adjustable between a lower, closed position and an upper, open position, e.g., by moving at least part of the screen panel selectively upwardly or downwardly. Further, some embodiments provide a screening system for a rooftop HVAC assembly comprising HVAC equipment and the screening system. In the present embodiments, the screening system is configured to be operatively assembled so as to surround the HVAC equipment when mounted operably on a roof of a building.

The invention provides an outdoor rooftop HVAC assembly comprising: (i) a roof curb or an equipment rail, and (ii) an air handling unit. The roof curb and equipment rail each have bottom and top ends. The bottom end is mounted on a roof deck of a building. The air handling unit is mounted on the top end. When provided, the roof curb includes a housing that surrounds an HVAC passage extending from the building, through the roof deck, and to the air handling unit. The air handling unit includes an outdoor heat exchanger. When provided, the equipment rail includes a housing to which a gutter assembly is integral. The gutter assembly includes a water trough alongside the housing. The water trough is upwardly open and located below the outdoor heat exchanger to receive water that melts from the outdoor heat exchanger.

An induction-displacement neutral wall air terminal unit includes a housing defining a supply airflow path, a connected return airflow path, and a heating airflow path separated from the supply and return airflow paths by at least one interior wall. The unit also includes a plurality of induction-type nozzles located within the supply airflow path, that are deliver a ventilation air flow stream into the supply air flow path. The nozzles induce a return air flow stream through the return air flow path that mixes with the ventilation air flow stream to form a supply air flow stream delivered to a supply air outlet.
