Abstract

The invention relates to a method for controlling an electric traction drive machine of an electric motor vehicle drive, wherein a torque and a rotation speed of the traction drive machine is variably adjusted using a drive converter, in a drive mode of the motor vehicle the traction drive machine is operated as a motor and generates a drive torque by way of which drive wheels of the motor vehicle are driven, in a braking mode of the motor vehicle the traction drive machine is operated as a generator via the drive wheels of the motor vehicle and generates a braking torque by way of which the drive wheels of the motor vehicle are braked; for controlling the rotation speed of the traction drive machine, the current rotation speed of the traction drive machine is detected or calculated and is fed to the drive converter as an actual rotation speed, wherein the actual rotation speed is generated by smoothing the current rotation speed, and in the braking mode the braking torque is adjusted as a function of the actual rotation speed and/or the current vehicle speed. The method according to the invention is characterized in that in the braking mode the braking torque is additionally adjusted as a function of an at least indirectly detected current vehicle deceleration.

Abstract

A drive train has a hydrodynamic retarder including a rotating bladed rotor and bladed stator, forming a working chamber for hydrodynamic transmission of power from rotor to stator, a power input feeding drive power to the retarder, and a synchronized separating clutch connected between power input and rotor. The clutch has two clutch halves, friction elements contacting each other and mechanical blocking elements. The friction elements equalize rotational speed between clutch halves, and the blocking elements form-lockingly connect the clutch halves. The clutch has an actuator displaceable along a displacement travel, over a first distance bringing the friction elements into mutual contact, and a second distance adjoining the first distance to synchronize the friction elements and rotational speed for locking with the blocking elements. At least one displacement sensor directly or indirectly detects displacement travel by the actuator and/or position of the actuator on the displacement travel.

Abstract

A hybrid vehicle is operated with a combustion engine, an electric machine and a gear unit. The vehicle has a first electrical system and a second electrical system as a vehicle electrical system. The first electrical system, which is operated at a higher voltage level than the second electrical system, operates the electric machine, an electrical energy storage device, an energy converter that transmits electrical power at least from the first electrical system into the second electrical system. An alternator is not used in the second electrical system. The first electrical system is a part of a transmission system that together with the components that are coupled to the transmission system is controlled by a transmission control unit. During power generation by the electric machine the energy supply of the second electrical system has a higher priority than a motor-mode support of the drive by the electric machine.

Abstract

A method for controlling a separating clutch in a power train of a vehicle having a drive motor and a retarder. The clutch is arranged such that a rotor of the retarder is switched into a drive connection with the motor and/or power train via the clutch and a working chamber of the retarder can be filled with an operating medium to build up a braking power such that braking torque is exerted by the retarder onto the power train and/or motor. A control system switches the clutch into a closed or an open position. The switching of the clutch into the closed position occurs depending on an input signal to the controller, and the clutch is switched back into the open position depending on essentially no medium being present in the working chamber of the retarder and that predetermined limits of an operating and/or environmental parameter are not exceeded.

Abstract

A method for shifting an automatic transmission, including a drive region, a hydrodynamic converter, an output region, and exactly one planetary gear that acts in a first operating state and a second operating state. In order to shift to different gears of the automatic transmission, different transmission ratios are set in the strictly mechanical power branch by disengaging and engaging clutches and/or brakes in the drive region. The planetary gear set in the output region in the case of at least two different transmission ratios in the strictly mechanical power branch, the rotational movement transmitted by the strictly mechanical power branch is stepped up, in order to always set additional gears.

Abstract

There is provided a method for controlling a hydrodynamic retarder. The method includes determining a presence of a retarder switch-off request, and keeping a separating clutch closed, after the determining, for a preset time span and emptying a working chamber of the hydrodynamic retarder of a working medium by continuous actuation of a rotating bladed rotor and interruption of infeed of the working medium into the working chamber. The method further included varying the preset time span according to at least one of the following parameters or at least one parameter correlated with one of the following parameters: a rotational speed of the rotating bladed rotor, an output pressure, against which the working medium is emptied from the working chamber, a filling level of the working chamber with the working medium, a temperature of the working medium, and a braking torque of the hydrodynamic retarder.

Abstract

A hydrodynamic machine has two blade wheels disposed opposite each other and together forming a toroidal working space. The space can be filled with a working medium to transmit torque hydrodynamically, by circulating the working medium in the space, from the first to the second blade wheel. The first blade wheel rotates about an axis of rotation. The second blade wheel rotates about the same axis of rotation in the same rotation direction as the first blade wheel or opposite thereto, or is held stationary. The blades of each blade wheel extend in an arc from a radially inner blade end on a radially inner wall of the working space to a radially outer blade end on a radially outer wall of the working space, and in plan view in the direction of the rotation axis the arc is in the shape of a circular arc on each blade wheel.

Abstract

The invention concerns a method for controlling a starting aid of a motor vehicle, in particular of a bus. The release of the starting aid takes place as follows: reduction of the braking pressure in accordance with a predetermined first gradient; simultaneous detection of the rotational direction of an output shaft of a transmission of the motor vehicle or of another component which rotates as a function of the rotational speed of the drive wheels; upon detection of a rotational-direction signal which indicates forward travel of the motor vehicle, continuation of the reduction in the braking pressure in accordance with the predetermined first gradient and upon detection of another signal, continuation of the reduction of the braking pressure by way of a second gradient which is reduced in comparison with the first gradient or an increase in the braking pressure.

Abstract

A cooling system has a drive motor which is to be cooled by a cooling medium. A cooling medium circuit conducts the cooling medium. A hydrodynamic machine comprising a working space can be filled with a working medium. The working medium is the cooling medium, and the hydrodynamic machine has a seal which is cooled and/or lubricated by the cooling medium. A cooling medium pump for circulating the cooling medium is in the cooling medium circuit. A pick-off is in the cooling medium circuit in the region of the cooling medium pump. Via the pick-off, the cooling medium is branched out of the cooling medium circuit. The branched-off cooling medium is conducted directly through or past the seal to cool and/or lubricate the latter, and the cooling medium which is conducted through or past the seal is supplied to the cooling medium circuit upstream or downstream of the working space.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a hydrodynamic machine, especially a hydrodynamic retarder, including a bladed primary wheel and a bladed secondary wheel which are arranged opposite of each other axially with respect to their blade configurations such that they jointly form a working chamber. The working chamber can be filled with a working medium for one operating state in order to transmit torque from the primary wheel to the secondary wheel by means of a circulatory flow of the working medium. The working chamber can be emptied of the working medium for a non-operating state in order to prevent a transmission of torque from the primary wheel to the secondary wheel. A suction apparatus is connected with a fluidic connection to the working chamber in order to suck off working medium and/or air from the working chamber for forming a negative pressure in the working chamber in the non-operating state.
