Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of a virulent strain of Venturia inaequalis in a sample. Said method is based on identifying specific markers associated with virulent strains of Venturia inaequalis.
The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of a virulent strain of Venturia inaequalis in a sample. Said method is based on identifying specific markers associated with virulent strains of Venturia inaequalis.
Said detection method has a plurality of advantageous applications, such as determining geographical areas where strains are virulent, enabling, in particular, evaluation of the benefit of planting an orchard in said area with varieties carrying the corresponding resistance gene, evaluation of whether fungicidal treatment in an orchard is necessary, thus avoiding systematic preventive treatment, or evaluation of the health quality of an apple plant comprising the resistance gene Rvi6.

Abstract
Disclosed is a cheese powder, methods for manufacturing the cheese powder, and a cheese-based food product made therefrom. The method includes: providing an aromatic matrix resulting from culturing a flavoring microorganism in a culture medium, and a texture matrix, at least some of the proteins of which consist of coagulating proteins which have not been subjected to prior coagulation; optionally mixing the aromatic matrix and the texture matrix to obtain a matrix mixture; and drying the matrices or the mixture of matrices to obtain a powder consistency, when the matrices or the mixture of matrices has a consistency ranging from liquid to paste. The obtained cheese powder has the following features: a total dry extract greater than or equal to 95% m/m, a water activity (aw) having a value of 0.1 to 0.25, and the coagulating proteins derived from the texture matrix have not been subjected to prior coagulation.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a bio-control method for combating the propagation of phytopathogenic fungi or oomycetes on plants, comprising the application, to the soil and/or to the vegetative apparatus of plants that are infected or are capable of being infected by pathogenic endemic fungal or oomycete strains referred to as type A, of a composition comprising a mixture of at least two strains, referred to as type B, of the same species, said type B strains being non-pathogenic for said plant, sexually compatible with said pathogenic type A strains and characterized in that they exhibit: a) sexual reproduction, b) a sexual phase initiated in non-parasitic mode, c) reproduction according to a heterothallic mode, and d) the existence of special forms or divergent populations within the species, capable of producing, by crossing with the type A strains, descendants that are non-pathogenic or even sterile on said plant of interest, and characterized in that the mixture of non-pathogenic type B strains comprises strains of opposite mating-type signs.

Abstract
The present invention concerns a method for culturing a plant, said method comprising a culture step wherein said plant is submitted to repeated thermal cycles, wherein, for each thermal cycle, cool temperature and warm temperature are alternately artificially applied to all or a part of said plant, over a period shorter than natural seasons. The present invention also concerns a method for producing natural rubber from latex-producing plants, said method comprising the steps of (a) culturing the latex- producing plant by implementing the method of culture of the invention, (b) harvesting part or all of root part of said plant, and (c) extracting natural rubber from the root part harvested at step b).
