A screen cleaning device (10) has a motor drive unit (3), bevel gear (21) and lead screws (4) having flexible modular striking arms (2). Each arm (2) comprises standard units (8) assembled together like a garland on flexible wire rope (9) for flexibility. Standard units (8) have different hardness for flexibility of usage. The standard units (8) are made such that each such unit has a male (11) and a female part (12) arranged on a slightly long wire rope, to create small variable gaps in between the standard modules. The standard units (8) have four striking faces (8') to be used one after another. Together they enhance the service life of each modular unit (8) by four times. The striking arms (2) move bi-directionally on lead screws (4) and also move angularly about the axis passing perpendicularly through the centre of square threaded nut (16). The screen cleaning device is alternatively driven by a pneumatic system.

Abstract

A cyclone separator (1) has a cylindrical body (5), a plurality of vortex finders (2,3,4) provided at the top, an inlet (6) for tangential entry of heterogeneous feed particles mixture, an underflow discharge opening and a plurality of output pipes. It produces three overflow streams, namely an inner overflow, middle overflow and an outer overflow which exit through its overflow outlet. The output pipes collect particles of different size ranges from the three overflows at one go. The vortex finders comprise of at least a first vortex finder (2), positioned co-axially within at least a second vortex finder (3), the first and second vortex finders (2, 3) being further positioned co-axially within at least a third vortex finder (4). The vortex finders (2, 3, 4) are provided with increasing diameter inside the cyclone separator (1) in that order. The vortex finders (2, 3, 4) are disposed at an increasing depth. They vortex finders (2, 3, 4) can have the same length. The number and the diameter of the vortex finders to be provided within the separator are selected depending upon the size of the particles to be processed by the separator.

Abstract

A treaded lifter bar (1) for grinding mill is provided with a plurality of flexible treads (2) positioned over the core rubber matrix forming its main rubber surface. Treads (2) have a zig-zag configuration with higher rubber content in their wear zone to increase the surface area and reduce the wearing lifter bar (1). The treads (2) primarily absorb the impact force (3a) of slurry (4) and dissipate the heat generated due to impact. The slurry (4) is deposited on top of the treads (2) thus protecting the treads (2) from direct contact with the slurry (4) to ensure less wear. The zig-zag configuration of the top wearing treads (2) of the treaded lifter provides increased wear volume.

The trommel assembly (1) with a spiral assembly having a decaying spiral pitch (3) comprises rotating drum structure with the decaying spiral assembly (2) and screen panels (6) made of polymeric material or rubber compounds. The pitch (3) is at a maximum at the inlet and at a minimum at the outlet providing increased screening efficiency. Maximum pitch produces low media height with increased inlet velocity and minimum pitch increases media height. The spiral (2) is of single start, double start or multi start configuration. The pitch (3) decreases along the trommel such that screening efficiency is improved without affecting the retention time.
