METHOD FOR THE ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTION OF HIDES DURING THE TANNING PROCESS WHICH INCLUDES A BIOCIDAL COMPOSITION AND A LUMINESCENT ADDITIVE ALLOWING THE IDENTIFICATION THEREOF
A method for antimicrobial protection applied to hides in the tanning process incorporating a biocidal composition and an additive allowing the identification by a luminescent effect, and using luminescence encryption techniques, wherein the composition is added in the tanning process immediately after adding the chromium or titanium salts in an amount between 0.1% and 5% by weight of the material to be tanned and comprises: silver phosphate glass; silicone; aliphatic hydrocarbons; and water, and the luminescent additive is added in an amount between 0.1% and 5% by weight of the material to be tanned and comprises silica; alumina; calcium fluoride; erbium (III) fluoride; ytterbium (III) fluoride; thulium (III) fluoride; and europium (III) fluoride.
An additional antimicrobial protection step applied to leather in the post-tanning process which incorporates a biocide composition and an additive that allows its presence to be identified by luminescent effect, and encryption techniques of the luminescence, wherein the composition is added in the tanning process immediately after the addition of chromium or titanium salts in an amount between 0.1% and 5% of the weight of the material to be tanned and comprises silver phosphate glass; silicone; aliphatic hydrocarbons; water, and the luminescent additive is added in an amount between 0.1% and 5% of the weight of the material to be tanned and comprises calcium fluoride; erbium (III) fluoride; of ytterbium (III) fluoride; a maximum of 5% of thulium (III) fluoride; and a maximum of 5% of europium (III) fluoride, with respect to the total weight of the luminescent additive.
A biocidal product for application to surfaces, particularly non-porous hard surfaces or the like, incorporating a luminescent identification marker which makes it possible to certify the presence of the product and therefore that protection is maintained, in addition to certifying its originality using luminescence encryption techniques. This biocidal composition enables its continuous disinfection action 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is formed by the mixture of a biocidal composition and a luminescent additive dispersed therein, wherein the biocidal composition includes a mixture of biocidal agents formed by the combination of 0.5-5.0% dimethyl didecyl ammonium chloride and 0.5-5.0% dimethyloctadecyl [3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl] ammonium chloride of a biocidal nature and a silver ion solution preferably consisting of silver phosphate glass in a proportion of 0.1-1%, and the luminescent additive includes aluminosilicate metal oxides containing rare earth ions as dopants.
