The present invention provides: a heat shielding cloth that reduces ultraviolet transmission and has heat shielding properties; a production method therefor; and a heat shielding garment. The heat shielding cloth according to the present invention includes a cloth and a compound that is adhered to the cloth for converting infrared light and ultraviolet light into visible light, wherein the compound for converting infrared light and ultraviolet light into visible light is at least one type of an organic fluorescent agent selected from the group consisting of coumarin-based compounds, benzoxazole-based compounds, and cyanostyrylbenzene-based compounds. The heat shielding cloth according to the present invention can be produced by processing, at 70-150°C, a cloth that has been immersed in an aqueous dispersion containing the organic fluorescent agent, or by adhering the organic fluorescent agent to the cloth by means of a binder. The present invention also pertains to a heat shielding garment using the heat shielding cloth.

Said fluorescent whitened highly cross-linked polyacrylate fiber is obtained by bringing a highly cross-linked polyacrylate fiber, which adsorbs gas phase moisture and generates heat, into contact with an aqueous dispersion containing an anionic fluorescent whitener and treating for 20 seconds - 120 minutes at 10-200°C. This fiber structure comprises said fluorescent whitened highly cross-linked polyacrylate fiber. Provided thereby are: a highly cross-linked polyacrylate fiber in which red is reduced and whiteness increased, and the amount of heat generated and the amount of moisture adsorbed when gas phase moisture is adsorbed have been further improved; and a fiber structure comprising same.
