A system and method for determining a basket, or total, price of items in a shopping list from various retailers is provided. Items may be added to the shopping list based on, for example, a coupon related to an item, items added to the shopping list by a user, items listed in a recipe, and items suggested for the user. The system may determine the price of the items from the various retailers and whether incentives are available for the items. If available and applicable, the incentives are applied to the total price for each retailer and a price comparison of total prices is generated. The price comparison results may be transmitted via various communication channels and may be displayed on a map.
A dimensional translator may automatically translate a dimension from an entity to a different dimension of another entity. The dimensional translator may do so by comparing attributes of the input dimension (the dimension to be translated) to attributes of a target data structure. An attribute may include, for example, hierarchy of a data structure, relationships of a data structure, a keyword associated with a data structure, and a data value associated with the data structure. The dimensional translator may automatically determine how a target entity would categorize the item. In particular, a Universal Product Code dimension of an item provided by an entity may be translated into a data structure of a target entity such as a retailer in order to determine how an item identified by the UPC will be categorized by the retailer.
A system and method for prescriber-centric targeting may use information known about prescribers to determine patients who should be targeted to receive information relating to a target drug. The system may identify a prescriber based on a propensity of the prescriber to prescribe the target drug or a drug in the same class as the target drug. The system may identify a patient based on the identified prescriber. For example, the patient may be a former or current patient of the prescriber. The system may cause the information relating to the target drug to be communicated to the patient. By identifying prescribers based on their propensity to prescribe a target drug and then targeting their patients, the system may obtain higher rates of prescription fills for the target drug while at the same time providing more relevant information to the patients.
