In one aspect of the present invention, provided is an austenite steel material having superior ductility, comprising, as percentages by weight, from 8 to 15% of manganese (Mn) and no more than 3% (excluding 0%) of copper (Cu), and having a carbon (C) content satisfying both 33.5C+Mn=25 and 33.5C-Mn=23, and comprising a balance of iron and unavoidable impurities; wherein ductility and abrasion resistance can be improved while at the same time also ensuring superior economic viability as the austenite is stabilised and the occurrence of carbides in network form at austenite grain boundaries is suppressed as a result of the addition of Cu, which is more advantageous in suppressing the formation of carbides than is manganese, and appropriate control of the carbon and manganese contents.
There are provided a ferrite stainless steel and a preparation method thereof. The stainless steel includes C: 0.02wt% or less, N: 0.02wt% or less, Si: 0.4wt% or less, Mn: 0.2wt% or less, P: 0.04wt% or less, S:0.02wt% or less. Cr: 25.0 to 32.0wt%, Cu: 0 to 2.0wt%, Ni: 0.8wt% or less, Ti: 0.5wt% or less, Nb: 0.5wt% or less, waste Fe and inevitable impurities. The preparation method includes forming a first passive film by bright-annealing or annealing-pickling removing the first passive film by pickling the stainless steel; water-washing; and forming the second passive film by performing a passivation treatment. Accordingly, a stainless steel having reduced elution resistance and excellent corrosion resistance is provided. Used as a polymer fuel cell separator, it has low interfacial contact resistance and excellent long-term performance even under a fuel cell operating condition of 60 to 150.degree.C and various surface roughness conditions.
The present invention relates to a reduction furnace including a charging device that is capable of preventing segregation and an apparatus for manufacturing molten iron including the same. The reduction furnace for reducing an iron-containing material used for manufacturingmolten iron may include a charging hole where the iron-containing material is charged, a first guide plate sloped toward a first direction in the reduction furnace to guide the iron-containing material to the inside of the reduction furnace, and a second guide plate fixed and sloped toward a second direction intersecting the first direction in the reduction furnace to guide the iron-containing material dropped and guided by the first guide plate. A dropping direction of the iron-containing material dropped and guided by the first guide plate is changed when the iron-containingmaterial is guided by the second guide plate.
The present invention provides a tubular torsion beam for rear suspensions of vehicles, which is produced according to a more durable design capable of improving roll stiffness and roll strength of the tubular torsion beam. The tubular torsion beam is produced by pressure-forming a tubular steel member through hydroforming such that the tubular torsion beam has a cross-section varying along an entire length thereof, with opposite ends having a closed cross-section and mounted to respective trailing arms, a middle portion having a V-shaped open cross-section, and a transitional portion having a varying cross-section and connecting the middle portion to each of the opposite ends. During the process of manufacturing the tubular torsion beam, the opposite ends of the tubular steel member are fed using respective axial punches of a hydroforming machine, so that the opposite ends are thicker than the middle portion.
