Abstract

Disclosed is a method for feeding a grease composition for grease-feeding to bearing units comprising 35 to 85 wt. % of fluorine-based grease and 65 to 15 wt. % of fluorine-based organic solvent; the method comprising jetting the grease composition into an inner portion of a bearing unit, such as a bearing for a conveyor chain having a grease-feeding hole, so as to feed the fluorine-based grease in an amount accounting for 10 to 45 volume % of the space volume in the bearing. According to the grease-feeding method, the grease composition for grease-feeding can be effectively applied to a bearing unit having a grease-feeding hole (nipple), thereby can be sufficiently supplied to a lubrication part, and allows grease-feeding without leakage from the bearing unit.

Abstract

A method of feeding, as a grease, a grease composition for greasing bearings, said grease composition comprising 35-85 wt% of a fluorinated grease and 15-65 wt% of a fluorinated organic solvent, which comprises spraying said grease composition into a bearing provided with a grease nipple of, for example, a conveyor chain in such a manner as to give said fluorinated grease in an amount of 10-45 vol%, relative to the inner capacity of the bearing, thereto. According to this feeding method, the grease composition for greasing can be effectively applied to the bearing provided with a grease nipple and a sufficient amount of the grease composition can be supplied to a part to be lubricated while avoiding grease leakage from the bearing.

Abstract

A grease composition comprising a mixture of thickening-agent-loaded nonfluorinated base oil and thickening-agent-loaded fluorinated base oil being incompatible with each other, wherein one of the base oils is uniformly dispersed in the other base oil in particulate form creating a morphological structure. This grease composition is produced by, for example, milling a mixture of thickening-agent-loaded nonfluorinated base oil and thickening-agent-loaded fluorinated base oil being incompatible with each other by means of a triple roll mill at least twice. By virtue of the formation of a microscopic dispersion state such that one of nonfluorinated base oil and fluorinated base oil being incompatible with each other is uniformly dispersed in the other base oil in particulate form creating a morphological structure, there can be exerted the effects inclusive of (1) less oil separation (separated oil level) at high temperature, (2) excellence in shear stability, (3) low and stable friction coefficient and (4) less abrasion.

Abstract

A lubricating oil composition for use in oil-impregnated bearings to be used in combination with a resinous member having C=C bonds or C=O groups in the molecule. It comprises a base oil comprising a synthetic hydrocarbon oil as the main ingredient and an ester base oil, the amount of the ester base oil being 0.1-30 wt.% based on the whole composition, and contains neither a zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate nor a molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate. This lubricating oil composition is one which contains a synthetic hydrocarbon oil as a major ingredient and has satisfactory resistance to resins. The composition is effective in minimizing the amountof a wearing inhibitor or extreme-pressure additive to be incorporated therein while retaining intact satisfactory lubricity, which is required of oils for sintered oil-impregnated bearings. Thus, it becomes possible to minimize the influence of these on various metals of sintered materials.

Abstract

Disclosed is a lubricant composition for oil retaining bearings which is obtained by adding and mixing a fluorine-containing di- or mono-amide compound into a base oil which is composed of at least one oil selected from perfluoropolyether oils represented by the following general formula: RfO(CF2CF2O)m(CF2O)nRf (wherein Rf represents a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, m + n = 3-200, and m:n = 10-90:90-10), perfluoropolyether oils represented by the following general formula: RfO[CF(CF3)CF2O]p(CF2CF2O)q(CF2O)rRf (wherein Rf represents a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, p + q + r = 3-200 and q and r may respectively represent 0, and (q + r)/p = 0-2), and polyfluoropolyether oils represented by the following general formula: F(CF2CF2CF2O)sC2F5 (wherein s = 2-100). This lubricant composition for oil retaining bearings is further improved in lubricating characteristics of perfluoropolyether oils, particularly in wear resistance and friction coefficient characteristics.

Abstract

A grease composition which comprises (A) a perfluoropolyether base oil, (B) a thickening agent, and (C) barium sulfate and/or antimony oxide, the amounts of the ingredients (B) and (C) incorporated being 0.1-50 wt.% and 1-25 wt.%, respectively. Due to the addition of the ingredient (C), which is at least one of barium sulfate and antimony oxide each having an average primary-particle diameter of 0.1-20 쎽m, the grease composition can produce the excellent effect of improving wearing resistance, frictional properties, load resistance, high-temperature durability, and unsusceptibility to corrosion while retaining the intact heat resistance.
