Abstract

The objective of the present invention is to prevent a force required to release engagement between a fastener and an object to be fastened by rotating the fastener from becoming too large, even if a force required to withdraw the fastener from the object to be fastened is set to be a large force. In this fastener, the introduction of a body portion into an accepting portion formed in the object to be fastened is permitted by means of elastic deformation of resilient arm portions, which form a portion of the body portion, toward a center of the body portion, and elastic recovery of the resilient arm portions at a completion position of said introduction causes portions of the resilient arm portions to enter engagement holes formed in a side wall of the accepting portion, thereby fastening the fastener to the object to be fastened. The resilient arm portions are formed along a direction encircling a central axis of the body portion, and are each configured by forming an engaging projection portion that engages with the engagement hole between a base portion and a free end of the resilient arm portion.

Abstract

The present invention simplifies and miniaturizes a bracket for a vehicle-mounted apparatus in an appropriate and reasonable manner. A receiving part 4 of a vehicle-mounted apparatus includes a positioning wall part 8 for the front portion or rear portion of the vehicle-mounted apparatus, and an elastically deformable part 10 in the form of a single piece that extends along the front-rear direction from a base portion 10a positioned facing the positioning wall part 8. The elastically deformable part 10 is provided with an engaging part 9 for an engaged portion 2k formed on a lateral section of the vehicle-mounted apparatus. A movement operation of the vehicle-mounted apparatus directed toward a holding completion position with respect to the receiving part 4 is allowed due to the elastically deformable part 10 deforming when the engaged portion 2k contacts the engaging part 9. The vehicle-mounted apparatus is brought into contact with the positioning wall part 8 at the holding completion position by means of elastic recovery of the elastically deformable part 10, and the vehicle-mounted apparatus is prevented from falling out from the receiving part 4.

Abstract

A vapor particle separator includes a housing having an inlet port in fluid communication with the outlet of the fuel tank, an outlet port in fluid communication with the inlet port of the vapor canister and a drain port in fluid communication with the filler neck. The inlet port has deflector ribs and a centralized nose cone creating a straight flow path resulting in less restriction in the fuel vapor flow. As the mixture flows along the inlet passage, it is forced through the deflection ribs and nose cone at which time the droplets and vapors are separated. The separated droplets and vapors flow from the inlet passage into the inlet pipe. The outlet passage and the drain portion allow the lite weight vapors to rise up into the outlet passage and out the outlet portion while gravity pulls the heavier weight droplets down into the return portion.

Abstract

The present invention makes a fastener have a structure capable of effectively reducing the load on the fastener when the fastener is pulled out from a through hole. A fitting part includes elastic pieces that are located on a side of a base part, that allow insertion of the fitting part into a through hole due to elastic deformation of the elastic pieces in a direction toward the base part, that are structured so as to be engaged in the through hole at the destination of the insertion due to elastic recovery of the elastic pieces at the end position of the insertion, and that are structured so as to cause elastic deformation in the direction toward the base part when a force in the direction in which the fitting part is pulled out from the through hole is applied. The base part is provided with abutment parts that abut against the elastic pieces when a force in the pulling-out direction is applied. When the force in the pulling-out direction becomes equal to or larger than a predetermined magnitude, the elastic pieces are bent in the direction to come close to the central axis of the fitting part, the central axis being located further inward than the abutment parts.
