Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a repeater node in a network that receives a first configuration of common control search space. and receives a second configuration of control search space for control information. The first configuration of the common control search space indicates where to locate the second configuration of the control search space. as well as decoding information to decode repeater dedicated downlink control information. A controller of the repeater decodes the control information from the second configuration of the control search space as repeater downlink control information. The controller of the repeater can then apply the control information on a forwarded link between a base station and a user equipment.

Abstract

In aspects of automated shopping using augmented reality, a mobile device detects an item in an image captured by a camera of a mobile device, and identifies, via augmented reality, that the item is on a list of monitored items that are replenished based on automated ordering. The mobile device determines that a remaining quantity of the item is less than a reorder threshold, from which an automated order of the item is initiated. A network device receives, from the mobile device, an identification of an item and a remaining quantity of the item, determines that the remaining quantity of the item is less than a reorder threshold, from which an automated order of the item is initiated, and adds the item to a shopping list based on the determination. The network device processes the automated order based on receiving an approval of the shopping list.

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a transmission for an ambient internet of things (A-IoT) system. In an aspect, a first device (for example, an IoT device) receives a first transmission from a second device (for example, a BS, an intermediate node, an assisting node, or a UE). Then, the first device determines whether to apply a midamble in a second transmission corresponding to the first transmission. Moreover, if the first device determines to apply the midamble in the second transmission, it performs the second transmission with the midamble to the second device. In this way, it is allowed to improve the flexibility and efficiency of the second transmission.

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to user equipment radio wakeup due to connected mode discontinuous transmission or discontinuous reception cycle. The techniques discussed herein provide entry and exit conditions for the active time period of a connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) cycle of a user equipment (UE) so that the active duration associated with the C-DRX cycle of the UE aligns with the active time period of the discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle or the cell discontinuous transmission (DTX) cycle of the cell. Partial overlap between the DTX/DRX and C-DRX is handled by dynamically indicating the on-duration offset to align the active durations of the cell DTX/DRX (the cell DTX/DRX active periods) and the active time periods of the C-DRX cycle of the UE (C-DRX active periods).

Abstract

A system receives an image that includes a person executing a sign. The system determines whether the sign is a sign of a sign language, the sign points to an object in the image, the sign indicates that the person wants to assign an alias to the sign of the sign language or the object in the image, and/or whether the sign uses the alias. After this determination, the system executes an action based on whether the sign comprises the sign of the sign language, the sign identifying the object in the image, the sign assigning the alias, or the sign using the alias.

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a user equipment (UE) that detects, while in a radio resource control inactive state and optionally while in a small data transmission session, that beam information is to be reported to a base station. This detection is performed based on some criteria, such as the current (serving) downlink beam quality dropping below a threshold amount. In response to detecting that beam information is to be reported to the base station, the UE initiates a random access procedure in order to provide the beam information (e.g., one or more candidate beams to switch to) to the base station. This beam information notifies the base station to change to a new serving beam due to, for example, the quality of the current serving beam dropping because of movement of the UE, blockages between the UE and the base station, and so forth.

Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to indicating global navigation satellite system availability. Generally, a user equipment (UE) global navigation satellite system (GNSS) outage or GNSS location inaccuracy indication is determined when in connected or idle state. This information may be used for the network to determine what solutions may be applied for time and frequency compensation when GNSS is not available. For instance, the techniques discussed herein provide a network based or UE based signaling procedure with one or both of implicit or explicit indication methods in order to know about the GNSS unavailability for a connected UE. For example, this indication may be initiated based on some explicit request configuration message by the network or based on an implicit indication by the network (e.g., a preconfigured criteria set by the network to initiate the indication) or UE autonomously decide to initiate a signaling message.

Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses for mapping from virtual resource block (VRB) to physical resource block (PRB) of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a user equipment can include: a receiver that receives a downlink control information (DCI) format 1_0 in two or more linked common search spaces (CSSs) associated with two or more control resource sets (CORESETs), wherein each CSS of the two or more linked CSSs is associated with a CORESET of the two or more CORESETs; and a processor that is coupled to the receiver and determines a lowest-numbered PRB in the two or more CORESETs for mapping from VRB to PRB of a PDSCH transmission scheduled by the DCI format 1_0.
