Abstract

A device for fastening a gripper on a gripper shaft of a textile machine, in particular a sewing machine, preferably a multi-needle sewing machine, with a support element for the gripper is described. The support element for the gripper is connected to a holder or the gripper shaft via a connecting element in such a way that the support element for the gripper is detachable from the holder or the gripper shaft. The connecting element is designed as a toggle screw or locking mechanism such that the toggle screw rotatably engages through a bore in the support element into a corresponding opening in the holder or the gripper shaft, engaging behind an abutment, or the locking mechanism is designed as a positive connection between the support element and the holder.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for monitoring thread breakages in multi-thread sewing machines, comprising at least one light source (1) for generating at least one beam path (10) oriented along a series of threads (2), each thread (20) being associated with a thread breakage monitor (3) maintained in the rest position outside of the beam path (10) by means of an intact thread (20) and entering into the beam path (10) when the thread breaks (4). The aim of the invention is to provide a device with an economical thread breakage monitor that clearly indicates to the user the position relating to the thread breakage. As a result, the claimed thread breakage monitor (3) is designed at least in parts such that when it enters into the beam path (10), it is illuminated by the inlet of the beam of light.

Abstract

A method for operating a chain stitch sewing machine and a chain stitch sewing machine, the chain stitch sewing machine having a pair of sewing members comprising a needle which pierces a sewing material and a gripper disposed below a sewing material rest, which can be moved along a movement path, where an upper thread is guided with the needle through the sewing material resting on the sewing material rest, which is linked to a lower thread. The lower thread is fed to a retaining element and is held in said element that is moved with regard to its direction of movement and/or speed of movement to the sewing material rest according to a movement path of a pivoting movement of the gripper in particular along a circular-arc-segment-shaped movement path.
