After the tension applied to the insulator has been alleviated, a connection portion of the insulator is supported by an insulator support tool 150 having an insulator engagement part 154 at the distal end thereof. The connection portion of the insulator is detached in a state in which the insulator is supported by the insulator support tool 150, and a belt 4 for suspending a utility pole suspension device 1 is connected to a central position on a support rod of the insulator support tool 150.
