Abstract

A connector assembly is described that includes a receptacle and a pluggable module. The pluggable module includes a housing, a first paddle card, and a second paddle card. The first paddle card and the second paddle card are oriented vertically with respect to one another at least partially in the housing. The first paddle card has a front end positioned at a first insertion depth and the second paddle card has a front end positioned at a second insertion depth. Due to varying insertion depths, when the pluggable module is inserted into a housing of the receptacle, the first paddle card will come into contact with terminals of the receptacle first before the second paddle card comes into contact with other terminals of the receptacle, providing various stages of insertion and reducing overall force required to mate the receptacle and the pluggable module.

Abstract

Computer systems, methods, and apparatuses for estimating changes in gas emissions are described. A computer system may monitor overall emission levels based on sensor outputs from a plurality of gas sensors in a facility. The computer system may estimate a total emission level over a time interval based on the accumulative, gas-response-factor weighted detections of the gas sensors. Emissions from maintenance activities may be excluded as appropriate. The total emission level may be compared with total emission level estimated from different time intervals and/or different facilities. Abstract

Various aspects of connectors with stiffeners are described. In one example, an electrical connector includes a housing and a wafer assembly positioned within the housing. The housing includes a stiffener, and the wafer assembly includes a terminal row and a cable alignment block. The cable alignment block is seated in the housing over the stiffener. In other aspects, the cable alignment block includes a wafer alignment stake, the stiffener includes a wafer interlock aperture, and the wafer alignment stake extends through the wafer interlock aperture. Because the housing is designed to support the wafer assembly in a position with relative precision, any deformation of the housing may result in an unexpected and unwanted loss of signal coupling integrity. The stiffener helps to reinforce the housing and prevent it from bending or deforming.
