Abstract

The present invention reduces inadequate adhesion of an adhesive to a narrow part. A region determination unit 36 determines, in image data ID, a printing region including pixels P corresponding to an ejection position of ink in a printer 2. If the region determination unit 36 determines that the printing region has a narrow part NP in which the number of pixels in at least one of the X direction or the Y direction is less than or equal to a predetermined number, a pixel adjustment unit 37 sets pixels P around the narrow part NP in the image data as an expansion part EX for expanding the ejection position of the ink. On the basis of the image data, an image processing unit 38 creates, as print data PD, dot data indicating the ejection position of the ink.

While the robot (5) is performing the recovery operation on a first printer (3A) in which the printing process has been completed and the printing process on a subsequent medium (M) is to be carried out, if the printing process of a second printer (3B) is completed, the robot successively performs the recovery operation and the supply operation of the subsequent medium (M) on the first printer (3A). (Second Invention) (Purpose) To reduce the load of a robot and reduce the power consumption of a processing system by reducing the time during which a servo motor of the robot is in an on state. (Configuration) A processing system (101) comprises: a droplet discharge device (103) that performs a droplet discharge process on a medium (M); and a robot (105) that performs at least one of supply and recovery of the medium (M) on the droplet discharge device (103). The robot (105) has arms (152, 153) that grip and transport the medium (M), a servo motor (57) that drives the arms (152, 153), and a control unit (150) that switches between an on state in which the servo motor (57) can rotate and an off state in which the servo motor (57) cannot rotate. When the arms (152, 153) of the robot (105) are standing by at prescribed positions, the control unit (150) sets the servo motor (57) to the off state, and the control unit sets the servo motor to the on state at a timing when at least one of a supply command and a recovery command for the medium is input to the robot (105). After the robot (105) has performed at least one of the supply and the recovery of the medium (M), if a state in which the arms (152, 153) perform no operation at the prescribed positions continues for longer than a certain period of time, the control unit sets the servo motor (57) to the off state. When the arms (152, 153) of the robot (105) are standing by at the prescribed positions, the control unit sets the servo motor (57) to the off state at a timing when the droplet discharge device (103) performs a predetermined operation.

Abstract

[Problem] To reduce positional deviation of droplets discharged from a head. [Solution] In an adjustment pattern printing step S10 of this discharge position correction method, a processing unit 42 positions a head 20 at each of a plurality of target positions P that are at intervals of a prescribed distance d in an X direction from a reference position O of a mounting surface 10a, and discharges droplets while relatively moving the head 20 in a Y direction (main scanning direction), thereby printing a plurality of adjustment patterns R arranged in the X direction on a medium M. In a deviation amount detection step S20, the processing unit 42 detects the deviation amount in the X direction for each of the plurality of target positions P, on the basis of the positional relationship between adjustment patterns R that neighbor each other in the X direction. In a correction amount calculation step S30, for each of the plurality of target positions P, the processing unit 42 calculates a correction amount in the X direction for the discharge position, on the basis of the deviation amount detected in the deviation amount detection step S20.

Abstract

[Problem] To make it possible to appropriately decolorize a decoloration target object without imposing a burden on a user. [Solution] This decoloring method is for decoloring a dye of a staining material from a decoloration target object including fibers that have been colored or stained by the staining material. The dye is held in gaps of molecular chains of the fibers. The method comprises a decoloring step for washing the decoloration target object by using a first decoloring liquid at a decoloring temperature that is equal to or higher than a fiber-opening temperature at which the molecular chains are loosened to such a degree that the dye escapes from the gaps of the molecular chains of the fibers included in the decoloration target object.

Provided is an inkjet printer having a bidirectional printing function, the inkjet printer being capable of shortening a correction time when automatically correcting a deviation between a landing position of ink in an outgoing path in which a carriage moves to one side in the main scanning direction and a landing position of ink in a return path in which the carriage moves to the other side in the main scanning direction. In this inkjet printer, when an automatic correction operation is started to automatically carry out a reciprocating landing position correction, which is a correction of a deviation between the landing position of ink in the outgoing path and the landing position of ink in the return path, a cap-out operation is implemented, a first printing operation, a second printing operation, and a pattern detection are carried out, and after startup of the automatic correction operation, a cap-in operation is carried out after calculation of a correction amount necessary for completing the reciprocating landing position correction has been completed. In addition, after startup of the automatic correction operation, the cap-in operation is not carried out until calculation of the correction amount necessary for carrying out the reciprocating landing position correction has been completed.
