Abstract
The invention relates generally to hard disk devices, and more particularly, to hard disk devices using read-write components having electromagnetic elements. The invention can be utilized in any application requiring high sensitivity such as ionic particulate flow detection, and weak magnetic planar flux variation and transition detection. The invention combines both Hall Effect sensors and inductive effects to help increase precision of sensitivity, and increase flux noise rejection. Additionally, to acting as a sense element, the invention has the ability to generate a localized electromagnetic flux.

Abstract
The invention relates to a system for real-time monitoring of motile lubricants within the presently common reciprocating engine. A sensor array is fully submerged (or partially submerged) within the lubricant system fluid, for example, oil. The fluid property monitoring is accomplished by multiple sensors acting in unison to provide data to a remote processing and display portion of the system. The system allows for the unified data acquisition and real-time comparison by providing both a physical sensor unit with embedded multiple sensors ofmultiple types as well as multiple DSP (Digital Signal Processing) or microcontroller modules acting in parallel to provide best- fit results for purposes of real-time monitoring high-temperature motile lubricants for property degradation (namely viscosity and foreign particulate detection) and particulate accumulation.

Abstract
A non-volatile magnetic memory device having one or more memory cells, each of the memory cells includes a magnetic switch including a C-shaped magnetic component and a write coil located proximate the magnetic component, the write coil coupled to receive a current sufficient to create a remnant magnetic polarity in the magnetic component, and a Hall sensor, positioned proximate the magnetic component, to detect the remnant magnetic polarity indicative of a stored data bit.
