Abstract

A multi-function closure is provided for a liquid containment tank. The tank has an upper wall with an inspection opening therein. The closure includes a ring attached to the upper wall and extending around the inspection opening. A pan is removably fastened to the ring, and has a bottom and side wall forming a reservoir for collection of spilled liquid. A lid is pivotally connected to the pan for movement between open and closed positions, and can be locked in the closed position. Multiple ports are formed in the bottom of the pan for filling the tank with liquid, and suctioning or pumping liquid from the tank for discharge.

Abstract

A grain auger having a discharge chute with a primary opening is also provided with at least one secondary opening and a door movable between opened and closed positions relative to the secondary opening. The door is normally closed by spring bias, but will open if the primary discharge opening becomes blocked, thereby releasing grain through the secondary opening, to prevent damage to the auger.

Abstract

An agricultural conveyor assembly of the type including a main conveyor, a feed auger assembly, and a main auger boot pivotally supporting the outlet end of the feed auger assembly on the inlet end of the main conveyor for swinging movement further includes a feed auger lift assembly. The feed auger lift assembly includes: i) a support assembly pivotally supported on the main auger boot for pivotal movement with the feed auger assembly about an upright axis and which further pivotally supports the feed auger assembly thereon for relative pivoting about a horizontal lift axis; and ii) an extendable lift member coupled between the feed auger assembly and the support assembly such that the extendable lift member controls pivotal movement of the feed auger assembly about the lift axis while being movable together with the feed auger assembly about the swing axis.

Abstract

An improved conveyor belt is provided for use in a tubular conveyor. The belt includes a plurality of cleat sets extending at a non-perpendicular angle across the axis of the belt. Adjacent cleat sets are offset with respect to one another, such that the axis of adjacent cleat sets are non-parallel. Each cleat set includes a plurality of spaced apart, upstanding cleat members. The orientation of the cleat sets helps maintain material toward the center of the belt, while the orientation of the cleat members eliminates vacuum behind the cleat members.

Abstract

A trailer having support wheels and a frame adapted to be hitched to a truck, includes a support track extending longitudinally for supporting an unload conveyor. The conveyor is mounted by a turret to the support track and, thus, to the trailer frame, permitting the turret to move in a fore-to-aft direction, as well as to rotate about the vertical for about 180°, providing flexibility in use as well as transport and storage. A support module, carrying at least one storage container is mounted on the trailer frame. The storage containers may be provided in a number of different sizes and they may be arranged in various configurations suiting the user's needs. The turret is positioned along the track beneath a desired seed container, which may then be unloaded by the conveyor to fill a planter seed box or grain drill, or for other seed handling applications.
