An ironing board includes a board (1), an iron rest (13) and two legs (4, 5), at least one beam member (2, 3) rigidly connected to the lower surface of the board (1) and guiding one end of one (4) of the legs in a sliding manner, a portion (2a, 3a) of the at least one beam member (2, 3) protruding from the edge of the board (1) and the iron rest (13) being supported on the protruding portion (2a, 3a).

Abstract

The invention refers to a device for tensioning a drawcord extending along a hem of a cover for an ironing board underneath the ironing board, comprising a drum pivoted around an axis of rotation, which is surrounded by a lateral surface for winding up the drawcord, wherein a through-hole passes through the drum perpendicular to the axis of rotation for threading in at least one end of the drawcord in order to anchor it to the drum.
