Abstract

Technologies are provided for verification bypass in an automated dispensing pharmacy. In some embodiments, a computing system can identify a first automation device from a group of automation devices that dispense unit-of-use packages. The computing system can then cause a state of verification bypass for the first automation device to transition to an active state at a first time. At a second time after the first time, the computing system can detect dispense of a unit-of-use package from the first automation device, and can then determine that a time interval elapsed from the first time to the second time is less than or equal to a defined duration. The computing system can therefore designate the unit-of-use package as a verified item.

Abstract

Technologies are provided for a programmable hardware proxy (PHP) for assessment of control logic. A control sequence that controls execution of an automation task within a physical automation system can be accessed to generate a virtual representation of physical control connections among sensor devices and a control device associated with an automation subsystem. The virtual representation constitutes a realistic virtual control interface that can be exposed to the automation subsystem in virtual domain. The virtual control interface can replace the control device in virtual domain, while preserving the functionality of the control device. The virtual control interface constitutes the PHP for the sensors devices and the control device. The PHP can be used to assess control logic for the automation subsystem, without reliance on hardware present in the automation subsystems.

Abstract

A method, apparatus and computer program product construct an updated order and verify compliance with predefined rule(s) prior to submission to a supplier. In a method, first information from a request processor responsive to an inquiry is provided to a source. The method receives an order in a first format that includes second information, different than the first information, from the source. The method analyzes the order relative to predefined rule(s) to identify whether the order satisfies the predefined rule(s). The method converts the order to a second format, different than the first format, and combines the converted order with at least some first information to form an updated order. If the predefined rule(s) are satisfied, the method transmits the updated order to the supplier. However, if a first category of the predefined rule(s) is unsatisfied, the method notifies the source of the predefined rule(s) that were unsatisfied.

Abstract

A method, computing device and computer program product generate a temporary password to control access to a record created in response to an electronic message. An electronic message is parsed to separately identify a plurality of fields that provide different types of information. Record(s) are accessed from a database that are associated with the information provided by at least one field. An action to be initiated by the electronic message is determined to either be taken or to be rejected based upon information provided by the field(s) of the electronic message and also based upon information from the record(s) accessed from the database. If the action is rejected, a record of the electronic message is created for transmission along with information regarding the rejection. A temporary password is also generated to control access to the record created regarding the electronic message and its rejection. The response includes the temporary password.

Abstract

Technologies are provided for advanced prediction of shipping attributes of a package in a dispensing pharmacy. In some embodiments, a computing system can receive prescription data identifying one or more amounts of respective medications, and can generate, using the prescription data, an estimate of weight of a package containing the one or more amounts of the respective medications. The computing system can then cause, at a time before automated packing of the respective medications into the package, a second computing system to provide shipping data for the package. The shipping data includes first data defining a shipping label. The second computing system can be remotely located relative to the computing system. The computing system can receive the shipping data at a second time before the automated packing of the respective medications into the package, and also can store the shipping data in a storage device.

Abstract

Technologies are provided for detection of anomalous records in a dataset. In some embodiments, a computing system can access a dataset comprising multiple records and at least one configuration attribute, where a first configuration attribute of the at least one configuration attribute is indicative of a detection interval. The computing system also can generate, using a first subset of the multiple records, a detection model to determine presence or absence of an anomalous record within the multiple records. The computing system can select a second subset of the multiple records, wherein the second subset includes second records within the detection interval. The computing system can further generate classification attributes for respective ones of the second records by applying the detection model to the second subset, where a first classification attribute of the classification attributes designates a first one of the second records as either normal or anomalous.

Abstract

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for providing rebate claim validation. A drug manufacturer or associated computer may receive rebate claims from pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). The manufacturer should not be obligated to pay the rebate if the associated prescription drug was initially sold by the manufacturer under a discount program such as 340B. However, manufacturers may not be able to discern which rebate claims are associated with a discount program. A service provider utilizes adjudicated prescription claims from a contract pharmacy, and encounter data from a covered entity to validate the rebate claims and indicate to the manufacturer whether a rebate claim is associated with a discount program such as 340B.

Abstract

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for partitioning prescription transaction costs by determining offset savings amounts to be applied to prescription transactions, based on an adjudicated response from a payer computer. Prescription transactions received from a pharmacy are submitted in real time or near real-time for adjudication. Historical data associated with the patient and prescription is accessed to identify a target patient pay amount. Based on the benefit coverage and/or co-pay amount from the adjudicated response, an offset savings is determined in real-time or near real-time that will partition the prescription transaction cost such that the remaining patient pay amount is aligned with the target patient pay amount.
