Abstract

Systems and methods for automated, artificial intelligence (“AI”) based monitoring of, and alerting for, digital out of home display units are disclosed. The display units are installed at various geographic locations and each include a display subassembly connected to a structural subassembly, sensors for measuring conditions, airflow pathways with fans, and electronics for operation and control. A monitoring subsystem receives data from the display units, including sensor and operational status data, tags the data with a unique identifier, and analyzes the data using an AI model to identify if the data indicates that any of the display units are experiencing abnormal conditions or maintenance needs. The AI model is trained on historical data including sensor and operational status data from same or different display units tagged as normal or abnormal. The monitoring subsystem generates an alert and electronic service request for the abnormal conditions and maintenance needs.

Abstract

A fan unit for improved airflow within a display assembly is provided. A common housing forms a ducted passageway for exhaust from fans thereat. An upper portion of the common housing includes openings, each aligned with an intake of a respective one of the fans for ingesting airflow. A forward portion of the common housing forms, at least in part, an exit for the exhaust. A rear wall extends along and from a rear edge of the upper portion to and along an underlying surface of the display assembly when the fan unit is installed. The rear edge forms a wave shape defining peaks in the upper portion for the openings, and a valley between adjacent peaks. The rear wall forms the wave shape and thereby defines peaks, each accommodating one of the fans and a valley between adjacent peaks.

Abstract

Display units with automated power governing features and related systems and methods are disclosed. A control subsystem is in electronic communication with a power subsystem electrically connected to an electronic display, temperature sensors, and a thermal management subsystem for the display unit. The control subsystem includes at least one governor which monitors external power supply and internal power demand, and where either of the external power supply or internal demand exceeds respective predetermined thresholds, commands reduction to power levels of the electronic display.

Abstract

Systems and methods for detecting and alerting to probable leaks in an electronic display assembly are provided. An electronic display assembly includes an electronic display, a differential pressure sensor fluidly connected to an ambient environment and an internal area partitioned from an ambient environment, and one or more fans located within, or fluidly connected with, the internal area. Differential pressure readings are monitored, and when outside an acceptable parameter, a speed of the fan(s) is temporarily increased. Additional differential pressure reading(s) are taken, and where they remain outside the acceptable parameter, an electronic notification regarding the probable leak is generated and transmitted.

A latching device selectively secures the side assembly to the structural subassembly.
