Abstract

The transport system (100) comprises a first conveyor belt (1) for restingly receiving a stack of folded or interfolded sheets, and which, as a function of the height of the stack (P) which is to be formed, is vertically translatable to be positionable between at least a first dropped lower position (A1), and at least a second raised upper position (A2). The transport system (100) further comprises a second conveyor belt (2) arranged laterally and externally of the machine (M) for production of stacks of folded or interfolded sheets, between the first conveyor belt (1) and the outlet line (U), which is movable in rotation and which is borne by the support element (3). When the first conveyor belt (1) is translated so as to be positioned in the first dropped lower position (A1), the second conveyor belt (2) is movable into a first operating position (O1) in which it is aligned to the first conveyor belt (1) so as to receive from the first conveyor belt (1) a complete stack of sheets and to transport the stack of sheets towards the outlet line (U), and when the first conveyor belt (1) is translated so as to be positioned in the second raised upper position (A2), the second conveyor belt (2) is movable into a second operating position (O2) and into an inclined configuration so as to receive a complete stack (P) transported by the first conveyor belt (1) to outside the machine (M), and to transport the complete stack (P) received from the first conveyor belt (1) towards the outlet line (U).

Abstract

The system (100) for support and movement of a stack (P) of interfolded sheets during production of stacks of interfolded sheets in an interfolding machine comprises: at least a support table (10) to support a stack (P) of interfolded sheets under formation up to complete formation of a stack (P) of interfolded sheets of a desired height; a conveyor belt (2), for restingly receiving a formed stack (P) and transporting the formed stack (P) towards a work station. The support table (10) is movable vertically downwards from a first raised position (S1), in order to start to restingly receive the sheets folded in an interfolded way from the unwinding and folding means (V) of the interfolding machine, to a second raised position (82) to allow formation of a complete stack (P) of interfolded sheets and, after the stack (P) of interfoldd sheets has been completed at the desired height, is movable from the second raised position (82) towards the conveyor belt (2) to deposit the stack (P) thereon. Translating means (20) exist for vertically translating the conveyor belt (2) and adjusting the position of the conveyor belt (2), and therefore the distance of the conveyor belt (2), with respect to the second raised position (82) into which the support table (10) is brought for the completion of the formation of the stack (P) of interfolded sheets.
