A base structure for a piling foundation is provided. The base structure includes an upper plate and a lower plate. The lower plate is spaced a distance below the upper plate and is oriented substantially parallel to the upper plate. Both the upper plate and the lower plate include a number of plate apertures therethrough. The upper plate and the lower plate are connected to each other by webs configured to provide structural integrity to the base structure. Further, a piling foundation assembly for supporting operating equipment and a method for installing a piling foundation assembly are provided.
Provided is a helical pile having an elongated shaft, at least one helical blade on the shaft having a leading edge and a trailing edge, and a displacement paddle extending outward from the shaft longitudinally positioned between the leading and trailing edges of the blade to push away soil to create a grout channel surrounding the shaft. At least one grout propeller may be provided on the shaft, having at least one blade pitched an opposite direction from the helical blade to propel grout downward in the grout channel as the pile rotates.

Sacrificial tip and method of installing a friction pile
A sacrificial tip and method of installing a friction pile within the ground includes a connective plate to attach to a friction pile, a smaller diameter pipe extending from the plate, and a plurality of gussets and a helical flight secured to the pipe. The pipe projects generally perpendicularly from the connective plate toward a penetrative aspect and the plurality of gussets are secured to and project radially outwardly from the pipe, and extend longitudinally along the pipe tapering radially inwardly from the connective plate toward the penetrative aspect. The helical flight is secured about the pipe and spirals longitudinally toward the penetrative aspect. The connective plate can be secured to the friction pile with the pipe projecting coaxially with the friction pile to define the sacrificial tip for the friction pile.
A building structure is supported above a foundation and above grade by a moment frame comprising a plurality of columns and beams. The columns are all generally similar and the beams are all generally similar, such that each column can be attached with up to four beams. The moment frame is secured to a foundation, which may include pilings extending downwardly into the ground. The foundation can include a concrete foundation member or a foundation framework comprising a plurality of attachment members secured together by beams. The pilings can include helical flighting.

ELEVATED EQUIPMENT ASSEMBLIES, EQUIPMENT-SUPPORTING PLATFORMS, AND RELATED METHODS
A platform system for supporting a piece of operating equipment (18) above grade (20). Piles (12) are installed into the ground (G) with free ends (22) thereof extending above grade (20), and pile caps (14) are coupled to the free ends (22) of the piles (12). Each pile cap (14) includes a cap plate (30) disposed in a generally horizontal orientation. A platform (16) is situated atop the pile caps (14) and includes two longitudinally-extending structural beams (52, 54) and cross beams (80, 82, 84, 86, 88) spanning between the two structural beams (52, 54). Attachment members (50) are secured to and extend outwardly from the outboard side (58, 62) of each structural beam (52, 54). Each attachment member (50) includes a generally flat attachment plate (100) disposed in a generally horizontal orientation and secured to a cap plate (30) of a pile cap (14).
