Abstract

A vehicle component for a motor vehicle includes a coupling device including two couplable coupling elements configured to provide, in a coupled state, a fuel-tight connection of two fuel-conducting lines. One of the coupling elements is in a form of a metallic female element which is fixedly connectable to one of the two lines, and an other one of the coupling elements is in a form of a metallic male element which is fixedly connectable to an other one of the two lines. The male element, for coupling purposes, is insertable into the female element, wherein, in the coupled state, an axially extending overlap section with at least one radial seal device is formed between the female element and the male element. A securing device is configured to secure the coupling elements in the coupled state against inadvertent release from one another.

Abstract

A filler neck for the fuel tank of a motor vehicle has a funnel insert having a lockable flap with a lock, which is held by two elements which can each be pivoted about a pin. The flap is released only when both elements are pivoted to one side simultaneously by the filler tube of a gas pump nozzle. In order to open the flap with minimal actuating forces, the first element can be pivoted about a first pin and holds the hinge pin for the flap on its end far from the first pin, and the second element can be pivoted about a second pin and forms a locking hook. The two pins have a spatial distance from one another in the transverse direction and the two elements are loaded with respect to one another by at least one spring.

Abstract

A fuel container operating under overpressure and consisting of two shells is to be reinforced by means of an inner column so that, when the two shells are conjoined, a tension resistant connection is created. For this purpose, the column consists of a first and a second part connected to the respective shell, one part having catches, the other part having latching hooks, which catches and latching hooks for a tension resistant snap-in connection when joined together. For this purpose, both parts have latching surfaces and deflecting surfaces and the latching hook is resiliently displaceable.

Abstract

In a tank system, a venting line (6) connects the fuel tank to an activated carbon filter, and a recirculating line (10) opens into a filler head (3). In order to prevent the penetration of liquid fuel into the activated carbon filter, to permit the seal to be checked by applying a partial vacuum and to provide a filler head which can be manufactured inexpensively, an insertion body (22) is provided which forms a funnel (23) which is adjoined by a neck (24) which accommodates the fuel nozzle, which insertion body (22) has, in addition to the neck (24), two vertical blind holes (31, 32), open at the bottom, and a transverse duct (33) which connects the latter, wherein the first blind hole (31) is connected to the recirculating line (10), and a float (40), which clears or closes off the connection to the transverse duct (33), is guided in the second blind hole (32).

Abstract

The invention relates to a fuel tank made of plastic, in the interior of which an insert (2) is located, wherein the insert should enclose a space (3), wherein the fuel tank should offer the greatest possible economy of space, and the fuel tank and the insert should have a simple form. For this purpose, a box made of plastic and open at the top is attached to the inside of the upper wall (1) of the fuel tank as an insert (2), wherein the box forms a closed space (3) together with the wall (1) of the tank, wherein the insert (2) comprises a bottom (5) and side walls (6, 7, 8, 9), the upper edges of which are connected in a bonded manner to the wall (1) of the tank. The insert (2) contains inner parts (20-26) that are integral therewith and has at least one fitting (13-16) on the side walls (6, 7, 8, 9) for connecting a pipe line.

Abstract

The invention relates to a fuel tank that is composed of plastic and that has installations. In order to functionally improve the fuel tank and to simplify the manufacturing, a shaped piece (15) is attached to the inside of the wall (1) of the fuel tank and connected to the fuel tank in a bonded manner. The shaped piece (15) is a flat component that has an open three-dimensional shape and forms at least one channel (17) and/or tank together with the plastic shell (1). The shaped piece (15) is welded all around to the plastic shell (1), wherein a welding flange (20) forming a closed curve follows the contour of the channel (17). The shaped piece (15) has at least one mouth part (16) that is open toward the tank interior and is integral with the shaped piece.

Abstract

A closure cover for tanks under internal pressure, with a cover body (6) which can be fixed in a tank neck by means of rotation, and with a cover (14) which is provided with a handle (15) and is operatively connected to the cover body (6), and with a pressure control valve (40). A coupling device (22-28) is arranged between the cover body (6) and the cover (14) and, during the positive pressure which prevails in the fuel tank during normal operation, releases the rotational connection between the cover body (6) and the cover (14) such that the fuel tank cannot be opened, and in that a pressure control valve (40) is provided which opens when the positive pressure prevailing during normal operation is exceeded.
