Abstract

The invention relates to a flywheel on an output shaft of an internal combustion engine, said output shaft being driven by a starter in order to start the internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the starter ring gear that is driven by the starter is located axially between the housing of the internal combustion engine and the flywheel. The starter ring gear is only driven whilst torque is transmitted from the starter to the starter ring gear.

Abstract

The invention relates to a friction lining, comprising a friction part and a backing part. As a preform, wound from a strand material and treated with a binder, the friction part is subjected to hot pressing. It is suggested that the backing part be subjected to the hot pressing together with the preform, so that a bond is created between the friction part and the backing part by the polymerization of the binder.

Abstract

The invention relates to a friction clutch, at least comprising a clutch housing having a pressure plate that can be displaced thereon non-rotatably and axially limited, wherein said pressure plate can be subjected by a lever system supported on the clutch housing to a contact force that is counter to the effect of energy accumulators acting between the clutch housing and the pressure plate with respect to a pressure plate fixed on the cover, while tensioning the friction linings of a clutch plate. To this end, wear of the friction linings is compensated for in that a resulting first distance between the pressure plate and lever system is compensated for by way of a rotation of a ramp system, which is disposed between the pressure plate and lever system, using a rotational device if, while the pressure plate is subjected to a maximum force by the lever system, a second predetermined distance is determined between the pressure plate and clutch housing, said second distance exceeding a predetermined value, and a rotation occurs during an alleviation of the pressure plate by the lever system and a displacement of the pressure plate occurs by means of the energy accumulators active between the pressure plate and the clutch housing.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for engaging a driving gear in a vehicle transmission, comprising a torque converter that reduces the sudden vibrational bounce that frequently accompanies the engagement of a driving gear from the neutral position e.g. parking or neutral. Said method consists of the following: the low pressure of the brake pedal is recognised; the switching from the neutral gear in the vehicle transmission is determined; the pump coupling is released in the torque converter in which the pump coupling connects a pump in the torque converter to a rotating input, e.g. from the motor, into the torque converter and the pump coupling is gradually engaged. The gradual engagement begins according to a determined period of time after which the shifting motion of the gear lever stops. The invention also relates to a system for carrying out said method.

Abstract

Disclosed is a method for controlling the clutches of a parallel transmission when shifting from a starting gear to a target gear. Said method, in which torque is transferred from the load-discharging clutch to the load-accepting clutch when shifting gears, encompasses the following steps: the transmissible torque of the load-accepting clutch is increased to the current engine moment; the transmissible torque of the load-discharging clutch is reduced; when shifting gears, the total torque comprising the transmissible torques of the load-discharging clutch and the load-accepting clutch is at least temporarily greater than the current engine moment, and the transmissible torque of the load-accepting clutch is greater than a threshold torque at which the torque of the load-accepting clutch is steadily increased from the initial torque transfer state to a final torque transfer state.

Abstract

The invention relates to a drive train, particularly for a motor vehicle having a drive unit controlled by means of a control device and having a driveshaft and an element, which is operatively connected to said drive shaft and is driven by the same, wherein at least one state value of the driven element is read into the control device, and a balancing of the cylinder of the drive unit is carried out utilizing the at least one state value.

Abstract

The invention relates to a power transmitting device (1) for arrangement in a drive train between a drive machine and a transmission, having a clutch (2) that can be activated by applying pressure to a piston element (10), wherein the clutch is connected to a hub element (4) that is rotatably fixed to a transmission input shaft (20) by interposing a device (3) for attenuating oscillations. The invention is characterized in that at least one friction pairing (53) producing frictional torque can be generated parallel to the device for attenuating oscillations, at which the frictional torque can be adjusted as a function of the amount of the contact pressure present on the shiftable clutch (2).

Abstract

The invention relates to a power transmission device comprising an input (E) that can be coupled to a driving shaft, an output (A) that is coupled to a driven part, said output being especially a transmission input shaft, and a hydrodynamic component (2). The latter comprises an impeller (P) that can be connected to the input and a turbine wheel (T) that can at least be indirectly coupled to the output, and a damper unit (9) interposed between the turbine wheel (T) and the output (A). The damper unit comprises two damper stages (16, 17), a first radially outer damper stage (16) and a second radially inner damper stage (17) which are configured by respective devices for damping vibrations, comprising at least one input part (16.1, 17.1) and one output part (16.2, 17.2) that are coupled to one another via a spring and/or damping coupling. The invention is characterized by various coupling possibilities of the individual elements to the damper stages.
