Abstract

A process (P) of designing of textile items comprising the following steps: A) uploading a file containing a garment sample (1) from a memory of an electronic processor (2); B) generating a 2D model consisting of a representation in an X-Y plane of a fabric to be produced, for realizing the garment, by means of a knitting machine (T); C) transforming the 2D model for adapting it to the garment sample, so as to generate a 3D model consisting of a three-dimensional representation corresponding to a conformation assumed by the fabric when fitted on the garment sample, wherein each point of the 3D model presents a univocal correspondence with a respective pixel of the 2D model; D) displaying on a screen (3) the three-dimensional view of the 3D model; E) by a user, inserting a selection/change command of the 3D model, the command executing in an iterative manner the following succession of operations: F) selecting at least one point of the 3D model; G) attributing to the point of the 3D model at least a parameter; H) regenerating an updated version of the 2D model; I) retransforming the 2D model so as to generate an updated version of the 3D model; J) displaying an updated version of the 3D model. The process comprises a step (K) of compiling a machine program obtained by means of an electronic processing of the 2D and comprising the instructions necessary to operate a knitting machine (T).

Abstract

A process for manufacturing a textile item by means of a seamless circular weft knitting machine and provided with at least one feed and a needle-bearing organ supporting a plurality of needles. The process provides for programming the knitting machine so as to define a textile item of tubular and consisting of a plurality of successive stitch rows (R), and to produce weft knitted fabric for manufacturing the textile item. The process provides for producing a "booton-type double welt'' (7) defining an initial end (2) and having the following features: it comprises an outer layer (9) of fabric developing from the first row of the textile item and positioned outside of the tubular portion; it comprises an inner layer (8) of fabric turned inside the textile item so as to result facing the inner side of the outer layer; it is closed, at the end of the production of the inner layer, by means of stitch rows made with a set of needles and such as to join the end of the outer layer with the inner layer so that the booton welt is shaped as a closed pocket. The process provides furthermore for producing a body (6) of the textile item as far as a final end (3).

Abstract

A process for making a tubular textile article destined to represent an upper for footwear comprising programming a textile machine defining a tubular textile article to be made, extending longitudinally in a seamless way starting from a first open end and consisting of a plurality of stitch rows in succession. The process further includes knitting, in accordance with the programming step, by making the first end, belonging to a first fabric of the textile article, destined to represent a tip end of an upper; making a tip portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the toe; making a tab, belonging to the first fabric and destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing or covering at least one portion of instep; making a middle portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing at least part of the sole and sides of the foot, wherein the middle portion has a longitudinal opening which is located on at least one portion of the instep, and two lateral margins on the sides of the longitudinal opening; and making an end portion of the first fabric destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the foot heel. The tab and the longitudinal opening of the middle portion both have a simultaneous longitudinal development, in a direction corresponding to the longitudinal development of the upper; the knitting step entirely produces the unitary, single-piece tubular textile article; the steps are performed in succession such that processing is never interrupted between each step and the following one.

Abstract

A circular knitting machine for knitwear, comprising a needle-holding cylinder (C), having longitudinal grooves (3) arranged around a central axis (X) and housing a plurality of needles (N), and a needle-holding ring (A), having radial grooves (4) housing a plurality of holding-down sinkers (P), and wherein each needles is paired with at least one respective adjacent sinker so as to form a needle-sinker assembly (1). The knitting machine comprises, for each needle-sinker assembly: a pre-selection element (5), paired with the respective needle and comprising a connecting portion (6) selectively cooperating with the adjacent sinker belonging to the same needle-sinker assembly; an activation element (7), paired with the pre-selection element and comprising an operating portion (8). The pre-selection element is vertically movable, as a result of an ascending motion of the respective needle, to a pre-selection configuration in which the connecting portion is engaged into a connecting seat (9) defined in the sinker belonging to the same needle-sinker assembly, thus causing a pre-selection of the sinker with the ascending motion of the corresponding needle. The activation element (7) is horizontally movable, towards the central axis, until acting upon the pre-selection element, so that the connecting portion (6) causes in its turn a movement of the sinker (P) in the radial groove (4) towards the central axis, thus performing an activation of the sinker.

Abstract

A circular textile knitting machine includes a drive chain for each needle inserted in a respective longitudinal groove, located below a respective needle and operatively interposed between the respective needle and actuating cams. The drive chain includes a sub-needle arranged below the needle and engaged with the needle to be axially moved in the respective longitudinal groove together with the needle. The sub-needle includes a movable butt radially movable between an operating position, in which it is extracted to be engaged with respective first paths defined by first actuating cams and cause activation of the needle, and a non-operating position, in which it is retracted to not be engaged with the first paths. A selector is partly located below the sub-needle and partly alongside the sub-needle and is configured for oscillating between an active position, in which it pushes the movable butt into the operating position, and a rest position, in which it allows the movable butt to return into the non-operating position. The selector is axially uncoupled from the sub-needle and from the needle in a manner such that the needle and the sub-needle are never pushed or pulled axially by the selector. A selecting device acts upon command on the selectors so as to cause the passage thereof into the active position.
