Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and device for estimating dipping/sagging of an overhead power transmission line. According to the present invention, disclosed are an apparatus and method for monitoring and estimating dipping/sagging, the apparatus comprising: a means which collects acceleration and angular velocity or inertial measurement unit (IMU) data by measuring acceleration and angular velocity at a dipping/sagging point of an overhead power transmission line or attaching a sensor device using an IMU to the dipping/sagging point of the overhead power transmission line; a means which transmits collected data to a monitoring device at a remote site; and a data processing means which calculates dipping/sagging by using the collected data.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a device and method for estimating a dip of an overhead power transmission line. According to the present invention, disclosed is a device and method for monitoring and estimating a dip, comprising a means for measuring the dip of a transmission line in real time, by: attaching, to a dip point of an overhead power transmission line and an overhead ground wire, devices capable of real-time location tracking; measuring the distance between each attached device in real time; and collecting the measured data at a remote location and analyzing same.
