Abstract

A system for installing and curing a cured in place pipe liner includes a bladder with a terminal end and an originating end that is inflatable by an inflating medium and a return conduit within the bladder that extends from the terminal end to the originating end of the bladder. The return conduit includes an opening near the terminal end for passage of the inflating medium between the return conduit and an interior cavity of the bladder. A control valve is disposed on the return conduit and is configured to control flow of the bladder inflating medium through the return conduit.

Abstract

A disclosed measurement head includes a sensor body attached to a camera by a resilient member. The sensor body includes a sensor that measures linear distance and is actuated by arms pivoting outward from the sensor body into contact with an interior surface of pipe for measurement. Each of the arms includes a catch engageable to a latch sleeve to hold each of the arms in a compact folded position for insertion into a pipe. The latch sleeve is movable to release the catch and the arms to provide for measurement of the interior profile of the pipe. Another measurement head includes guide wires attached to an end of each of the arms. The guide wires provide for movement of the arms to provide for insertion of the measurement head into and through a pipe.

Abstract

A launcher assembly includes an outer housing that supports aprons and a nozzle. The nozzle and apron are removable from the base to aid in set up and preparation. Rollers are mounted to ends of the base to aid movement through a sewer pipe. One end of the launcher includes an opening slot for receiving an extended end of the liner. A bladder is banded to a nozzle for inverting the liner. The launcher is held in place by a separately inflatable bellows and pillow. Cameras are mounted to the launcher to provide at least one image on a remote display to aid alignment and installation.

Abstract

A sewer preparation from the main (PFM) device provides for the inspection and preparation of the sewer pipe from the main sewer pipe. The PFM device provides for the insertion of one or more individual and separately controllable tools into the sewer pipe. The tools include a clean out tool and a camera. Each of the tools is controlled separately such that each tool can be inserted and retracted from the lateral as desired. A method includes the steps of inserting and operating separately controllable tools from a single preparation device that provides access to the lateral without a cleanout or other alternate access passage.

Abstract

A lateral liner assembly provides for sealing of the junction between a lateral sewer line and a main sewer pipe. The lateral liner assembly includes a body portion attached to a collar portion. A flange assembly is secured to the collar to provide a rigid base for a seal. The seal supported on the flange seals against the inner surface of the main sewer pipe. The seal provides a desired water tight seal for the junction between the main sewer line and the lateral sewer line.
