Abstract
In the case of a method for operating an air-jet weaving machine, a weaving shed (4) is formed by alternately raising and lowering warp threads (3) in accordance with a weaving pattern by shedding means. By means of air jets distributed over a weaving width, a weft thread (6) is inserted and cast on by means of a weaving reed. The air-jet weaving machine has a first drive, which is intended for driving the weaving reed and defines a weaving-machine angle (WMW), and at least one second drive, which is intended for driving the shedding means. The casting on of the weft thread (6) takes place at a weaving-machine angle (WMW) of 0°. A shed-closing angle (FSW), at which the weaving shed (4) is closed, is set with respect to the weaving-machine angle (WMW) by a control unit. For regular weaving operation, the shed-closing angle (FSW) is set to a weaving-machine angle (WMW) which lies after the casting on of the weft thread (6).

Abstract
In a method for regulating a supply air pressure (pV) of a loom installation (1) comprising a plurality of air-jet looms (2), which each have a plurality of pneumatic consumers (5) for introducing a weft thread, a pressure requirement (pB) of the air-jet looms (2) is determined by means of a central control unit (4) and the supply air pressure (pV) is set according to the determined pressure requirement (pB). During a weaving process, for each of the air-jet looms (2), a current pressure requirement (pB) of the respective largest consumer (5) from the plurality of pneumatic consumers (5) is determined at specified time intervals, and the currently highest pressure requirement (pB) of all consumers (5) is determined by the control unit (4). The current input pressure (pE) is also measured at each of the air-jet looms (2) and the currently lowest measured input pressure (pE min) of all the air-jet looms (2) is determined by the control unit (4). The supply air pressure (pV) is increased if the lowest measured input pressure (pE min) is lower than the highest pressure requirement (pB max) of all consumers (5), or the supply air pressure (pV) is reduced if the lowest measured input pressure (pE min) is greater than the highest pressure requirement (pB max) of all consumers (5).

Abstract
A process for producing a sealable, biaxially oriented, polyester-based film and also a film-drawing unit for the process are described, with which the film is drawn/drawable in a first direction and in a second direction running perpendicularly to the first direction. To this end a base layer and an interlayer are coextruded and joined, after which a heat-sealable coating layer 2.3 is applied to the substrate by hot melt coating. The coating layer acts on the substrate, with respect to a contact point, at a temperature that lies above the melting point or the softening point of the interlayer, so that the temperature of the base layer of the substrate is below its crystallization temperature and heat is supplied from the coating layer 2.3 to the interlayer in order to lower its viscosity to the point of fusing adhesion to the coating layer 2.3. The substrate coated with the coating layer 2.3 is heated and then finally undergoes transverse drawing, starting from a corresponding temperature level via a temporally regulated supply of heat.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for inserting weft ends into a shed (1.1, 1.2) of a weaving machine. Wefts (3) are selected using weft selection means (19) which are inserted into the shed by means of weft inserting means and are fastened to a fabric edge by a weaving reed device (7, 7.1, 10). A fastened weft (3) is held in the region of the fabric edge in a specific position by holding means for the weft, wherein a change of the shed is carried out by the shedding means (4) after the weft insertion. The wefts are moved using the holding means for the wefts such that they reach a position in which they are cut by weft shears. A weft end is thus created, which is then detected by an inserting means and inserted into the shed. Between two successive weft insertion processes for a first and a second weft, the following processes occur: an additional weaving reed stop occurs via the weaving reed device, wherein no weft is entered and fastened to the fabric edge, however; and no weft end of the first inserted weft is inserted into the shed; and an effect thread extending in the warp direction for creating additional weft effects is moved in the weft direction on the weaving machine by means of a moving device.

The invention relates to a method and a device for degassing a PET plastic melt, a gas mixture (1) being suctioned out of the PET plastic melt by means of a vacuum device (2) and fed to a gas inlet (3) of a gas scrubber (4) using said device. The gas mixture (1) is brought into contact with a hygroscopic scrubbing liquid (5) within the gas scrubber (4). A vacuum of less than 50 mbar, preferably ranging from 1 mbar - 15 mbar absolute, is generated at the gas inlet (3) by means of the vacuum device (2), which is connected to a gas outlet (6) of the gas scrubber (4). The hygroscopic scrubbing liquid (5) is brought into contact with the gas mixture (1) within the gas scrubber (4) such that the volumetric flow rate of the gas mixture (1) at the gas outlet (6) is reduced by at least 60%, preferably by 75% - 90%, with respect to the volumetric flow rate of the gas mixture (1) at the gas inlet (3) by means of the absorption of the water components.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for monitoring thread overtension in a weaving machine having mechanical weft insertion elements (1) and also to a weaving machine having an apparatus for carrying out the method. In this case, threads (2) which extend in a warp direction (20) are supplied from a thread store to shedding elements (3) via a thread stop motion (4), wherein, when the tension in one of the threads (2) drops below a particular level, a signal is generated at the weaving machine by the thread stop motion (4). The invention is characterized in that at least one group of threads (2.1, 2.2) extending in the warp direction (20) is guided between the thread store and the shedding elements (3) over an elastically deflectable thread deflecting element (5) such that, when a particular tension in one of the threads (2.1) in this group (2.1, 2.2) is exceeded, the thread deflecting element (5) is deflected such that, as a result of this deflection, the tension in at least one other thread (2.2) in this group (2.1, 2.2) is reduced to such an extent that the thread stop motion (4) generates a signal.

Abstract
A thread clamp (3, 103, 203) is attached to a gripper head (1, 101, 201) for the insertion of weft threads (2) on a gripper weaving machine, which thread clamp (3, 103, 203) has a stationary clamping part (4, 104, 204) and a movable clamping part (5, 105, 205). In order to open or close the thread clamp (3, 103, 203), it is connected to a hollow body (6, 106, 206) which can be expanded by compressed air. A second expandable hollow body (8, 108, 208) is compressed by means of a control device which is attached on the gripper weaving machine, in such a way that an internal pressure is built up therein. Moreover, there is a valve (9, 109, 209) on the gripper head, which valve (9, 109, 209) is configured as an automatically closing non-return valve. The valve (9, 109, 209) is opened by an increase in the internal pressure in the second expandable hollow body (8, 108, 208) or by contactless transmission of signals or forces of an actuator (13, 113, 213) which is attached on the gripper weaving machine. The inlet and outlet of the valve are connected to in each case one of the two expandable hollow bodies (6, 8, 106, 108, 206, 208) in such a way that, when the valve (9, 109, 209) opens, a pressure equalization takes place between the two hollow bodies (6, 8, 106, 108, 206, 208). As a result of this pressure compensation, the thread clamp (3, 103, 203) is opened or closed, with the result that a weft thread (2) can be received or released by the gripper head (1, 101, 201).

Abstract
On a weaving machine for producing woven fabrics with additional pattern effects, one or more effect yarns (2) which are fed in substantially in the warp direction are displaced beyond adjacent warp yarns (1) above a weft yarn (3) to be picked for various movement cycles of the weaving machine in the weft direction (12). During the subsequent positioning of the effect yarns (2) below the weft yarn (3) to be picked, the effect yarns (2) dip into comb gaps (8) of a reed (4), which comb gaps (8) are open to the top on one side. In order to assist the dipping of the effect yarns (2) into the comb gaps (8), a reed (4) is equipped with a first group of reed teeth (5) which, at their upper end, have an insertion bevel (7) which points in the longitudinal direction of the reed (4). Said reed teeth (5) are designed in such a way that, as a result, the upwardly pointing opening of an adjacent comb gap (8) is covered at least partially. Furthermore, there is a second group of reed teeth (5) on the reed (4), which reed teeth (5) do not have an insertion bevel (7) of this type.

Abstract
For weaving pattern formation of a woven fabric having weft threads (3), warp threads (1) and effect threads (2), data sets (20) are generated according to a method, in which data values of weft numbers (30) and of positions of weave points (P) of an effect thread (2) with the weft threads (3) in the pattern repeat (29) are derived. Said data sets (20) are supplemented by further data values (31, 32, 33, 34) which are derived from the weaving pattern, in such a way that they form a point paper design (28) for a weaving pattern with additional weft effects. In a weaving machine having devices for displacing effect threads (2) in the weft direction (12), the weaving pattern formation is derived from the data sets (20) of said point paper design (28).

Abstract
In a loom for producing woven fabrics (0) having added weft effects, an effect thread (2) fed in the warp direction above a weft thread (3) to be inserted is displaced in the weft direction (12) over a freely programmable displacement path (A) by means of a plurality of adjacent warp threads (1) drawn into different reed gaps (14). In order to interlace the effect thread (2) with the weft thread (3), the effect thread (2) is positioned beneath the weft thread (3) to be inserted and at the same time enters the open reed gaps (14) of a weaving reed device (10, 7, 7.1) that are upwardly open on one side. At the same time, a needle-shaped guide means (11) for the effect thread (2) is moved vertically and in the weft direction (12) in a plane that is located between the shedding elements (4) and the position of the weaving reed device (10, 7, 7.1) during weft insertion. The guide means (11) is displaced by an electromotive displacement drive (6) with respect to a shedding element (4), said drive driving the guide means (11) vertically.
The invention relates to a gripper head (1) of a weaving machine, comprising a clamping device (2) for a band-shaped weft material (8) to be inserted into a shed of the weaving machine. The clamping device (2) comprises a stationary clamping jaw (3) and a clamping jaw (4) that is loaded by a spring (5) and movable about a rotational axis (6), each clamping jaw having a clamping surface (7), wherein the movable clamping jaw (4) can be activated by a control means (9) in order to open the clamping device (2). The gripper head (1) comprises a frame (10), wherein the clamping surfaces (7) are arranged substantially outside of the frame (10) and the spring (5) and the rotational axis (6) are arranged inside the frame (10).
The invention relates to a device (1) for transferring a preferably band-shaped weft material (6) from a feed unit to an insertion element (4) of a weaving machine, comprising a clamping device (5) for clamping a free end (E) of the weft material (6). The clamping device (6) can be moved substantially in the direction (BR) of motion of the insertion element (4) between at least two different operating positions. The device (1) contains a drive (8) for moving the clamping device (5). In a method for transferring a preferably band-shaped weft material (6) from a coil or a feed unit to an insertion element (4) of a weaving machine, a free end (E) of the weft material (6) is clamped in a clamping device (5), the free end (E) is transferred to the insertion element (4), then the clamping device (5) is opened, and the weft material is inserted. The clamping device (5) is moved substantially in the direction of motion of the insertion element (4) between at least two different operating positions by means of a drive (8).
D03D 47/12 - Looms in which bulk supply of weft does not pass through shed, e.g. shuttleless looms, gripper shuttle looms, dummy shuttle looms wherein single picks of weft thread are inserted, i.e. with shedding between each pick
On a weaving machine, the arrival of the weft thread (1) during insertion into a shed is monitored by means of a sensor (4) at the end of the insertion path (5). The sensor (4) produces different signal profiles (6) upon the passage of different weft threads (1,2,3...n). A control unit (7) determines the respective reference signal from several signal profiles (6) of the sensor (4) for each weft thread (1,2,3...n) to be inserted depending on the weaving pattern, the reference signal being compared with the actual signal profile (6) in the weaving process. The operator no longer has to make any entries into the controller (7) regarding the type of weft threads (1) to be monitored during weft insertion.
On a gripper weaving machine, two weft threads (4, 5) are selected simultaneously from a number of weft threads for a web cycle according to a pattern, and presented to a bringer gripper head, gripped by same, and introduced into a shed (22). The weft threads (4, 5) are guided and clamped in the bringer gripper head (1) by separate elements, and positioned in such a way that they remain separated during the introduction of the weft.
The invention relates to a weaving machine comprising a shedding machine, which has activatable and deactivatable movements of the shedding means and a drive, which is controlled independently of a drive of the weaving machine. During an operating malfunction, the shedding means are controlled (N, N+1) such that measures for eliminating the operating malfunction can be carried out. To do so, only the rotational speed of the weaving machine (n1.1) is lowered, while the shedding machine continues to be operated at a high working rotational speed (n1.2) and, optionally without stopping, is returned to the regular weaving operation, so that the time for eliminating the operating malfunction is shortened and weaving errors are avoided.

In an arrangement for casting films, extruded plastic material is discharged from a slot nozzle (1) and is chilled on the cooled circumferential surface (6) of a casting roll (2). The obtained film web (8) surrounds the casting roll (2) along a large angular spread and is lifted off the casting roll (2) by means of a withdrawing roll (3). The film web (8) has a certain distance from the lateral surfaces (7) of the casting roll such that lateral zones (25) in which polymer accumulates are formed on the circumferential surface (6) of the casting roll. A strip-type guiding part (10) that has a flexible linear member (11) is arranged in the zone of the circumferential surface (6) that remains free. The linear member (11) is fed from a supply reel (13) to a take-up reel (17) via a first (14) and a second deflection roll (15). The rotating casting roll (2) pulls the flexible linear member (11) towards the guiding part (10) as a result of the circumferential moving direction of the casting roll (2). The guiding part (10) moves in the longitudinal direction (12) thereof and cleans the circumferential surface (6) of the casting roll from polymer dust which particularly collects in the edge regions (25) of the casting roll (2).
In transverse stretching systems for film webs, tenter clips (1) run by way of running rollers (7) on guide rails (2). At relatively high working speeds, vibrations, noise, wear and friction losses occur. In order to avoid this, permanent magnets or electromagnets (8) are arranged on the tenter clip (1) or on the guide rail (2) in the region of the running rollers (7) in such a way that the tenter clip (1) is pulled towards the guide rail (2) in a defined direction. The running of the tenter clip (1) on the guide rail (2) is therefore stabilized and high working speeds can be achieved in apparatuses for stretching film webs transversely.
The invention relates to a pinning electrode arrangement (10) for the production of plastic film webs (4, 5) by extrusion through a slotted die (2) and cooling on a rotating, cooled casting roller (3). The pinning electrode arrangement (10) uses pinning brushes (13) having conductive bristles (13a) or fibers (13b) as corona electrodes for applying electrostatic charges onto the surfaces of the plastic film webs (4, 5) in order to improve the contact thereof with the casting roller (3). The pinning brushes (13) can be located transversely across the width of the plastic film webs (4, 5) and/or at the lateral edges thereof and be disposed in a displaceable or pivotable manner.
When coloring tubular fabrics, the hose (1) continuously passes through an impregnating trough comprising a coloring liquor and then through a reducing device (10). In the reducing device, the hose is temporarily post-drained in the expanded state thereof having an open cross-section. To this end, the hose (1) in the flat and expanded shape thereof is guided toward the reducing device (10) with a closed cross-section and guided out again also in this shape. The flat expanded hose (1) is located in the same plane when entering the reducing device (10) and when exiting the same. Thereafter, the flat expanded hose passes through a smoothing section, which should be at least 20% of the length of the reducing device (10). The reducing device can be both a circular squeezing device in the manner of a circular expander or a circular expander having a circular suction nozzle. By specifically setting the residual moisture when exiting the reducing device, and through the measures of hose guidance described, a gentle coloring method is achieved, through which the textile material as a whole passes in the hose shape in a single continuous method. The pad steam method is particularly suited for fixation purposes. The entire process duration is considerably shortened by the proposed method.

SLOT DIE AND INSTALLATION FOR COATING WITH THERMOPLASTIC COATING MATERIAL
The invention relates to a slot die (14) and an installation (1) for coating a moving web of material (2) with thermoplastic coating material (3). The slot die (14) has two die bodies (70, 71), which can be displaced and/or pivoted in relation to each other by means of a drive (73). As a result, the width (78) of the die gap (77) is adjustable. The discharge of coating material (3) from the slot die (14) can be shut off by means of structures (82) in the die channel (72). A preferred application for the installation (1) in which the slot die (14) is used is the coating of unfinished carpet or synthetic grass (4) with thermoplastic adhesive (hot melt).

On a power loom, the draw-in roller (2) for pulling off the material web (1) is supported at the ends in machine stands (15). The material web (1) wraps around the draw-in roller (2) with an angle of contact in the required dimension in that it is guided via deflection rollers (12a, 12b, and 12c) and via a pressure roller (3) adjustably by way of a pressure force. The pressure roller (3) is supported at the ends in pivot levers (10). A tension members (4), which is flexible in some regions and is attached to a toggle lever (7) by means of a loose roller (8), engages on each pivot lever (10). By pivoting the toggle lever (7), the tension member (4) is tensioned and the pressure roller (3) is pulled against the draw-in roller (2). Adjustable compression springs (5) bring about the contact pressure of the pressure roller, while helical compression springs (6), which are supported on the stops (13) fixed onto the machine, are only used to hold the pivot levers and consequently the pressure roller (3) in the position away from the draw-in roller (2).
