The device (1, 301) is adapted to impact the glass with the tip (21) and the device (1, 301) comprises a device tongue plate (40, 240, 340) that is, with a first end portion (41) thereof, configured to be connected to a seat belt buckle (120, 320) of a seat belt assembly (100, 300). The invention further relates to a seat belt assembly (100, 300), comprising a seat belt (110, 310), a seat belt buckle (120, 320), and the above-mentioned glass breaking device (1, 301). The glass breaking device (1, 301) is configured to be connected to the seat belt buckle (120, 320).
