Abstract

The present invention falls within the field of industrial biotechnology and sustainable agriculture and relates to a process that is renewable in nature for producing fertilizer from animal byproducts, involving a novel raw material, animal blood in natura. The invention is aimed at the reuse of raw materials such as animal blood, both in the in-natura form and in the form of blood meal, or even a synergistic mixture of blood meal and blood in natura, for the production of fertilizers that have novel features. The synergy provided by the steps of the designed process together with the properties of the chosen raw materials has allowed products with high contents of free natural amino acids, total organic carbon and organic matter to be developed. The fertilizer product produced can be applied in the form of a liquid, such as liquid fertilizer, to oil or on leaves, or in the form of a solid, following the introduction of a drying step at the end of the process. As a result of the chemical composition obtained, the product has features both of a fertilizer and a soil-conditioning agent. The invention results in sustainable products with high added value.

Abstract

The present invention pertains to the field of sustainable agriculture and relates to two renewable processes for producing fertilizer from animal byproducts using two novel raw materials: - whole fishes, and/or fish waste, and/or fresh- or salt-water fish waste, and/or fish waste including accompanying fauna, wherein the pre-treatment carried out as part of the process enables any species of fish to be processed to obtain fish concentrate (CPX), which is an intermediate product used to subsequently obtain fertilizer compositions and/or an ingredient in compositions used for animal feeds. - bird entrail waste. The invention is intended to make use of byproduct raw materials obtained from bird entrails to obtain fertilizers having novel features. The synergy generated by the steps of the developed process being combined with the qualities and features of the chosen raw material promotes the development of products with high levels of natural free amino acids, total organic carbon and organic matter.
