The invention relates to a pipetting device with a touch screen and a system comprising said pipetting device. The operating concept of this pipetting device provides that values of pipetting parameters can be set by the user on at least one input screen page, that actuation of the actuating element leads to the display of an output screen page and to the start of a pipetting operation defined according to the pipetting parameters, and that touching a separate input field of the output screen page leads back to an input screen page.
A pipette tip line for use with a pipette includes at least two pipette tips. A pipette comprises a pipette housing, a neck configured to clamp on a pipette tip, and a drive apparatus. The drive apparatus comprises a drive element configured to displace a displacement element to draw a liquid sample into the pipette tip and to eject the liquid sample from the pipette tip. A scanning apparatus comprises a scanning element positioned proximate the neck and configured to be displaced relative to the pipette housing by a collar of the pipette tip when clamping the pipette tip onto the neck. A mechanical display apparatus is coupled to the scanning apparatus and comprises a display. When the pipette tip is clamped to the neck the scanning apparatus is configured to adjust the display depending on a height of the collar of the pipette tip relative to the neck, and the neck is configured to accommodate different collar heights.

A pipette for use with a pipette tip includes a chassis. An apparatus is coupled to the chassis and is configured to detachably hold at least one pipette tip. A drive apparatus is coupled to the chassis and is configured to displace a displacement element to suck liquid specimens into the pipette tip and eject the specimens from the pipette tip. A tubular pipette housing is configured to surround and connect to the chassis. The longitudinal direction of the chassis is aligned in the longitudinal direction of the pipette housing. The chassis includes multiple chassis elements which are arranged behind one another and are connected to one another. The apparatus for detachably holding at least one pipette tip and the drive apparatus are connected to one or more of the multiple chassis elements.
