According to the invention, in addition to the shaft bearing (3), a fan (4) is fastened on the shaft (1), by way of which fan (4) a positive pressure is generated during rotation of the shaft (1) in the region (5) between the fan (4) and the shaft bearing (3), with the result that an escape of lubricant is prevented or at least reduced as a result. However, the subject matter of said invention is also formed by a method for reducing lubricant leaks in shaft bearings (3) in the case of rotating shafts (1) with the aid of a fan (4) which is fastened on the shaft (1).

The winding overhang of the rotor of an electrical machine is subject to strong centrifugal forces during operation, especially when the machines run at high speed. The winding overhang support prevents the production of relative movements between the winding overhang and the rotor base. These movements result in strong mechanical stresses on the winding bars. The winding overhang support includes an inner ring and an outer ring between which the winding bars are arranged in the region of the winding overhang, the outer ring being shrunk on the inner ring and both the outer ring and the inner ring being interspaced from the lamination stack.

SPIRAL CASING OF A TURBOMACHINE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPIRAL CASING OF A TURBOMACHINE
The invention relates to a spiral casing (1) of a turbomachine, in particular a turbine, pump or pump turbine, which consists of a number of segments (2) which are arranged one behind another in the circumferential direction and are connected to one another at the respective end sides, having guide devices at the inlet to the support blades (3). It is characterized in that individual guide segments (9) are provided which are composed of plastic. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing a spiral casing (1) of a turbomachine and the guide devices of the latter, wherein guide segments (9) are cast from plastic. As a result of the manufacture of individual guide segments (9) from plastic, simple adaptation to the changing contour of the spiral (1) and satisfactory and secure fastening can be ensured.
The present invention relates to a winding overhang support for the rotor (1) of an electric generator, comprising at least one ring (4), which absorbs the centrifugal forces of the windings (3) in the winding overhang area. According to the invention, the ring (4) is produced from a composite material, wherein the ring is produced before the ring (4) is installed. The present invention further relates to a corresponding method for producing a winding overhang support for a generator.
The invention relates to a guide apparatus for turbomachines, in particular for Francis or Kaplan turbines or pumps or pump turbines having a plurality of guide blades (3) which can be actuated via in each case one link (4) on a common adjusting member (5). Here, every guide blade or every second guide blade can be equipped with a safety element. It is principally characterized in that a bending-failure link (6) which can have a screw connection and a bending body (7) is provided as safety element. The screw connection is prestressed and is configured with a defined fracture cross section (12). The triggering force on the bending-failure link (6) and the holding force after a fracture of the safety element can therefore be selected independently of one another. The guide blades are protected against damage by foreign bodies in the guide apparatus.
A method and apparatus for fault detection of series diodes in rectifiers is disclosed, wherein the voltages across one or both of the individual diodes, and/or the voltage across the pair of diodes are measured to determine a ratio between two of those voltages. The ratio is then analyzed to determine if a fault (e.g., a short circuit or an open circuit) is present. In some embodiments, circuitry can be included to compensate for the normal variations in diode characteristics (e.g., reverse leakage current, reverse recovery charge) between the pair of series diodes to minimize the potential for erroneous fault detection.
The winding overhang of the rotor of an electrical machine is subject to strong centrifugal forces during operation, especially when the machines run at high speed. The aim of the invention is therefore to devise a winding overhang support which prevents the production of relative movements between the winding overhang and the rotor base, said relative movements resulting in strong mechanical stresses on the winding bars. The invention relates to a winding overhang support which consists of an inner ring (12) and an outer ring (10) between which the winding bars (5, 6) are arranged in the region of the winding overhang (7), the outer ring (10) being shrunk on the inner ring (12) and both the outer ring (10) and the inner ring (12) being interspaced from the lamination stack (3).

The invention relates to a device and a method that can enable generators (1) for producing electrical energy to be kept stable on the network during and following a line failure, such as a voltage dip. This requirement is defined in the network connection conditions of many network operators and must be observed for installations of a certain power. According to the invention, during a line failure, a load (10, 10') is inserted, enabling the energy that can no longer be supplied to the electric network due to the voltage drop to be absorbed by the load (10, 10').
