Abstract
The invention relates to a semi-finished gel and the process for making such a semi-finished gel, suitable for use in the preparation of a gel casing for a food product, from a first natural tissue and a second natural tissue. The invention further relates to a method for making a homogenous collagen-elastin gel including a detangling treatment in an extrusion system comprising a detangler including interlocking members. The extrusion system further comprises a food dough extrusion passage and two co-operating jackets arranged coaxially about the food dough extrusion passage, at least one jacket being rotatable about the co- extrusion axis, the jackets defining an annulus therebetween having an annulus-inlet for the introduction of gel, the rotation of the at least one jacket causing orientation of the gel, thereby converting the introduced gel into an orientated gel, the annulus having an opposed annulus-outlet for discharging orientated gel; wherein discharged orientated gel is deposited onto food dough emerging from the food dough-outlet to form a food product with gel casing.

Abstract
An intestinal tract part processing device includes a carrier for holding the intestinal tract part on the carrier at a first end of the intestinal tract part, and an elongate support member having a longitudinal axis configured for supporting the intestinal tract part on an inside of the intestinal tract part. The support member includes an outer wall and an inner wall, at least one fluid chamber arranged therein between, and a primary fluid connection configured for supplying a fluid to the at least one fluid chamber and/or for discharging a fluid from the at least one fluid chamber. The carrier and the support member are movable relative to each other in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The carrier includes a tubular carrying member which is arranged coaxially to the support member on an outer side of the support member.

Abstract
A tissue separating device for separating an intestine from a cluster of organs harvested from an animal includes a guiding device having at least one guiding surface configured to contact the intestine, and a tissue severing device configured to provide a separation in the tissue close to the intestine. The guiding device further includes a first guiding member and a second guiding member being movable with respect to each other to define a gap configured to accommodate said tissue. The gap has a variable gap width. The tissue severing device is configured to be operative in the gap, where the tissue separating device further includes a resilient member configured to exert a force on at least one of the first guiding member and the second guiding member, the resilient member force driving the first guiding member and the second guiding member towards each other.

Abstract
An intestinal tract part processing method and device are disclosed. The device comprises a carrier for holding the intestinal tract part on the carrier at a first end of the intestinal tract part, and an elongate support member having a longitudinal axis, which support member is configured for supporting the intestinal tract part on an inside of the intestinal tract part. The support member comprises an outer wall and an inner wall, the outer wall surrounding the inner wall, at least one fluid chamber arranged between the inner wall and the outer wall, and a primary fluid connection configured for supplying a fluid to the at least one fluid chamber and/or for discharging a fluid from the at least one fluid chamber. A plurality of passages are provided in the outer wall which passages provide a fluid path from the at least one fluid chamber through the outer wall. The carrier and the support member are movable relative to each other in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The carrier comprises a tubular carrying member which is arranged coaxially to the support member on an outer side of the support member.

Abstract
The invention relates to a tissue separating device for separating an intestine from a cluster of organs harvested from an animal, in particular porcine, ovine or bovine, the intestine being connected to the remainder of the cluster through tissue. The tissue separating device comprises a guiding device having at least one guiding surface configured to contact the intestine, and a tissue severing device configured to provide a separation in the tissue close to the intestine. The guiding device further comprises a first guiding member and a second guiding member being movable with respect to each other to define a gap configured to accommodate said tissue. The gap has a variable gap width. The tissue severing device is configured to be operative in the gap, wherein the tissue separating device further comprises a resilient member configured to exert a force on at least one of the first guiding member and the second guiding member, the resilient member force driving the first guiding member and the second guiding member towards each other.
