Abstract

In a method for controlling a pure water production system according to the present invention, when the water storage amount for a pure water tank 111 as measured by a level sensor 112 is increased from a reference value, a control means reduces the water supply amount of primary pure water W2 to the pure water tank 111 by narrowing a flow rate adjustment valve 113. On the basis of a measurement value from a second pressure gauge 115 in the stage preceding the flow rate adjustment valve 113, the output of a booster pump 109 is controlled so as to reduce the output of an inverter 110 so that the measurement value from the second pressure gauge 115 becomes almost constant at a predetermined pressure. Additionally, the output of an inverter 103 of a water feed pump 102 is controlled so as to be reduced so that the pressure in the stage preceding the booster pump 109 is also almost constant. This makes it possible to avoid the risk of cavitation in the booster pump 109, stably operate the booster pump 109, and supply the necessary amount of the primary pure water W2 to the pure water tank 111. According to such a method for controlling a pure water production system, it is possible, in a pure water production system having a booster pump between water treatment apparatuses, to control a water supply amount in accordance with the amount of water used.

Abstract

This method for separating an anion exchange resin 2 and a cation exchange resin 3 is carried out by a device including a separation tower 1, a Seprex tower 8, and a mixing tank 5 for mixing the anion exchange resin 2 and an aqueous NaOH solution 6. The anion exchange resin 2 taken out during a separation step contains a small amount of the cation exchange resin 3. Then, the anion exchange resin 2 is put into the mixing tank 5 to remove water therefrom. Thereafter, the aqueous NaOH solution 6 having a specific gravity intermediate between the anion exchange resin 2 and the cation exchange resin 3 is injected for immersion. The anion exchange resin 2 is then transferred together with a liquid mixture 2A with the aqueous NaOH solution 6 to the Seprex tower 8 into which water W is injected in advance. According to the method for separating a mixed ion exchange resin described above, an anion exchange resin and a cation exchange resin can be separated with extremely high accuracy by using a Seprex method.

Abstract

When raw water W is treated by a reverse osmosis membrane device 3, permeated water W1 of the reverse osmosis membrane device 3 is sequentially treated by a first electric deionization device 4 and a second electric deionization device 5 to obtain second deionized water W3. The conductivity of the water W1 to be treated is measured by a conductivity meter 6, and when the conductivity of the water W1 to be treated increases beyond a predetermined value, the operating current of the first electric deionization device 4 is increased. On the other hand, when the conductivity of the water W1 to be treated decreases below the predetermined value, the operating current (current density) of the first electric deionization device 4 is decreased. Thus, the power consumption can be reduced while maintaining the water quality (for example, conductivity) of first deionized water W2 within a target range. According to such an operation method of a two-stage electric deionization system, the reduction of the power consumption and the stabilization of the treated water quality can be realized.

Abstract

A valuable metal recovery system 1 comprises a waste water treatment device 2 and a valuable metal recovery device 3. The waste water treatment device 2 comprises water treatment units, namely, a tank 21, a flocculation/sedimentation tank 22, a membrane type filtration device 23, and a valuable metal adsorption device 24. The valuable metal adsorption device 24 is formed by detachably providing an adsorbent column (functional material element). Furthermore, each of the water treatment units can be unitized, placed on one or more trailers T, conveyed to a waste water discharge site, and installed at the site. The adsorbent column after adsorption is transported to the valuable metal recovery device 3, and in the valuable metal recovery device 3, a target valuable metal is eluted or back-extracted from the functional material element that is filled with the adsorbent. The present invention thereby realizes a valuable metal recovery system which employs a functional material such as an adsorbent or an extractant that is capable of selectively adsorbing or concentrating a target valuable metal and circularly recycling and reusing the valuable metal by means of a method such as elution/regeneration or back extraction.

Abstract

In a hydrogen peroxide concentration measurement system according to the present invention, a specimen water collecting pipe 3 is branched into a first passage 4 and a second passage 5, and the first passage 4 is switchable between a dissolved oxygen concentration measurement flow channel 7 and a first circulation flow channel 9. Moreover, the second passage 5 is switchable between a hydrogen peroxide decomposition flow channel 11 and a second circulation flow channel 13. Further, the dissolved oxygen concentration measurement flow channel 7 is switchable between a discharge pipe 14 and the second circulation flow channel 13. Furthermore, the hydrogen peroxide decomposition flow channel 11 is switchable between the discharge pipe 14 and the first circulation flow channel 9. Consequently, specimen water W flows to be switchable between continuously flowing from a dissolved oxygen concentration meter 8 to a catalyst resin column 12 and continuously flowing from the catalyst resin column 12 to the dissolved oxygen concentration meter 8. This hydrogen peroxide concentration measurement system makes it possible to shorten the time until a measured value after the switching of the measuring system is stabilized and reduce the consumption of the specimen water.
