Abstract

System (1) for transporting individuals, comprising aerostats (21) of the semi-tethered type which are attached via tether systems to a hauling cable (2) stretched between a plurality of pylons (10, 11, 12) anchored to the ground and constituting a closed circuit, each aerostat (21) comprising at least a balloon filled with a lifting gas or else with an air reservoir for balancing if need be, and a gondola (31) designed to carry one or more passengers, this gondola (31) comprising a device for regulating its altitude with respect to the ground. Application of this semi-tethered aerostat transport system (1) to a tourist attraction circuit around a site of special interest.
