The object of the invention is a method and an arrangement in a gas shielded arc welding device, such as a MIG/MAG-welder, for reducing the sticking of the wire electrode (1) to the welding current tip (3) of the welding torch (2) in connection with the termination of a welding step. The method utilizes a gas shielded arc welding device comprising a welding torch (2), a power source (4), wire feeding means (5), and a control means (7) for controlling at least the power source (4) and the wire feeding means (5). WELD-WIRE-FILLER IDENTIFICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
The invention relates to an apparatus for identifying a filler wire (2) in a welding apparatus, by means of which an arc is created. The welding apparatus comprises a filler wire (2), means (31, 32) for feeding the filler wire (2), and means (30, 32) for supplying electrical energy to the filler wire (2), in order to create an arc between the filler wire (2) and a workpiece (34). According to the invention the apparatus comprises means (1) for determining the electrical properties of the filler wire (2).
The invention relates to a short-arc welding method and apparatus. According to the method, an electrically periodically changing arc, which is short-circuited periodically by a molten droplet (22) from the welding wire (21), is formed between the welding wire (21) and the base material (20), in which case each welding cycle is formed of a short-circuit stage (14) and an arc stage (15), whereby both the short-circuit (12, 14) and the arc (15) stages includes both a high-current pulse (5, 10) and lower- current periods (2, 7, 12, 16). According to the invention, at the end part of each short-circuit stage (14) a falling current shape (6, 7) is formed.
The invention relates to a welding method and apparatus. According to the method between the welding wire and the base material an arc (4) is electrically formed, which behaves periodically (12, t2) in such a way that the duration of the period is (t2) and within the period (12) at least on average short-circuit periods (11) arise, which have an average duration (tl), and the arc voltage is controlled. According to the invention, the arc voltage is controlled at least mainly in such a way that the ratio of the average duration (tl) of the short-circuit periods (11) to the period duration (t2) is kept to a desired magnitude.
