Abstract

The invention relates to an improved device for purifying (1) combustion gases and fumes, including an electrode (5) brought to a high voltage for electrifying particles, and a filter structure (7) brought to a different electric potential for attracting the particles in the fumes (H) by the effects of static electricity. A collection means (8), preferably heated to a high temperature by a heating means (13), is combined with a catalytic means, the whole being arranged so as to trap said particles and eliminate said particles by carbonisation or calcination and/or by mechanical vibration. Said invention is useful for manufacturers of wood heating appliances.

Abstract

The invention relates to a fume box having a separation partition (16) in the upper portion thereof that comprises a removable catalyst block (17) offset relative to the inlet (10) and the outlet (8), and an intake passage that can be blocked by at least one insulating block. Deflectors slow down the gases and fumes and protect the catalyst block against falling soot and particle. The invention is particularly intended for manufacturers of domestic combustion heating appliances, in particular those using wood.

Abstract

The invention relates to an assembly for purifying gases and combustion fumes from a heating apparatus, particularly from a closed chimney furnace of the type using a catalyzing device (6) in the gas and combustion fume exhaust duct (5), characterized in that it has an electrically powered rapid temporary heating means for raising the temperature in and/or near the catalyzing device (6) with a view to initiating the catalytic reaction and wherein a temperature-sensitive sensor or detector (12) is provided in the control circuit (11) of the heating means.  This invention is of interest to builders of heating apparatuses using solid fuel, particularly wood.

Abstract

The invention relates to an assembly for controlling and adjusting the air outlet temperature T of a mixed apparatus including a closed-hearth fireplace and a heat pump PAC in which one of the batteries is located at the air outlet duct (7) of the mixed apparatus, characterised in that a control circuit is mounted on the operation main control of the heat pump PAC, for adjusting the RPM speed of the fan or turbine (10) of the battery placed in the air outlet duct (7), based on the air outlet temperature T measured by a thermal probe (11) located in the air outlet duct (7) downstream from the hot air outlet of the fireplace, in order to obtain an adjusted air temperature at the outlet. Abstract

The invention concerns an actuating component (16) secured to the frame (5) of the door (2) and a locking component (25) borne by the sash (3) whereon the door frame is pivotally mounted. When the door is opened, one end (29) of the locking component is automatically urged to be engaged into a housing (31) of a fixed structure (12) of the heater so as to counter the vertical movement of the door-sash assembly (6). When the door is closed, the actuating component actuates the locking component (25) and releases the end of the locking component from the housing (31) of the fixed structure, thereby allowing the vertical movement of the door-sash assembly.

Abstract

The door assembly and its movement mechanism comprise guides (19) on each side, along each of which guides travel two bearings (7, 8) which can be disengaged and withdrawn from the guides (19) though corresponding slots (11, 12) provided therein. The upper part of each guide has a temporary immobilization region (18) which receives the upper bearings (7) and which defines a virtual pivoting axis about which the door assembly tilts during the first phase of its detachment movement. The enclosed fireplace is notable in that it has a rear air inlet, and a fireplace the base and side walls of which are lined with refractory blocks (7), (9) and (5), (6), a primary air circuit formed of two symmetric branches, each one opening through a side refractory block (5) or (6) via ports (38) situated above the base plane of the fireplace (1) and a secondary air circuit formed of two symmetric parts grafted onto the primary air circuit and running along the side refractory blocks (5) and (6) to end at a distributor despatching the heated air in a downwards stream against the rear face of the glazed part (3) via a curved deflector (36).
