The invention relates to a vehicle (1) for the movement of one rider (2), having a ball (4) rolling on a ground (3), a carrying element (5) supported on the ball (4), on which carrying element the rider (2) stands when the vehicle (1) is in operation, and a drive arrangement (6) which is supported on the carrying element (5) and drives the ball (4). To create an improved vehicle, the invention proposes that the vehicle (1) is additionally supported via a roller (7) rolling on the ground (3).

The invention relates to a vehicle (1) for carrying one rider (2), having: a ball (4) rolling on the ground (3); a bearing element (5) unstably supported on the ball (4), on which bearing element the rider (2) stands in a balancing manner during operation of the vehicle (1); a drive assembly (6) supported against the bearing element (5), which drive assembly drives the ball (4); and a controller (7) via which the drive assembly (6) can be controlled in a desired direction of travel in dependence upon the inclination of the bearing element (5) and the direction of inclination of the bearing element (5). In order to create a particularly compact vehicle, according to the invention the drive assembly (6) comprises four omni wheels (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d), of which at least two omni wheels (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d) have a tilt angle (ɣa, ɣb, ɣc, ɣd).

Abstract

A vehicle for the movement of a driver includes a rolling element, a carrier element supported by the rolling element, a drive arrangement supported by the carrier element and configured to drive the rolling element, and a control unit, by way of which the drive arrangement is steered in a desired travel direction depending on the inclination of the carrier element and the inclination direction of the carrier element. The vehicle is configured such that during operation of the vehicle, the driver stands freely and balances on the carrier element. In a particular embodiment, the rolling element rolling is a ball and the vehicle can be moved in any desired travel direction via the drive arrangement, with the driver being in contact with the vehicle exclusively by way of the driver's feet, and as the case may be, further by way of the driver's lower legs.
